Global Warming Loonies

Breaking
new research in the Global Warming Religion (TM)! New research claims that no matter what you do, YOU are contributing to global warming. In fact, this researcher says that walking contributes MORE to global warming than driving! And adherents to the Religion of Global Warming know that driving is completely evil -- so what does that make walking? If these people are to be taken at face value, you're now supposed to sit at home and do literally NOTHING -- or you're an evil person who contributes to global warming. You cannot exercise now, you cannot watch TV, you cannot even EAT!
But such IS the purpose of the Religion of Global Warming.
If you take them at face value, you've been fooled. If you are one of those who says, "Oh, gee, it would be better to listen to them, because I want to save the world," you're a sucker. The purpose of the Religion of Global Warming is power, control, and money -- and nothing else. This most recent research shows what I have been saying all along -- the earth is warming, and there's absolutely nothing humans can do about it.
Oh, but to show even more evidence it's about control and money, how about taking a hard look at the hundreds of billions that The Religion of Global Warming will cost America? Yes, Congress, always trying to screw things up, is considering passing a law to drastically REDUCE the American economy -- in the name of the Religion of Global Warming. You see, according to this religion, America is evil. Therefore, anything that can make America worse off is good. That's what Global Warming is about. When you support "stopping" global warming, you're supporting crushing America.
And yes, the Religion of Global Warming is about power, too. Government officials today exist to spend money. The more money they can spend, the happier they are. They honestly do not care how much money they spend, because it's not theirs, and they have an absolutely endless supply of money: you, the sucker taxpayer. So government wants (always) to spend MORE. The Religion of Global Warming is being used as an excuse to spend more.
Man-made Global Warming is crap. It's a Religion. It's a set of beliefs designed to fool people into caring -- and giving piles of cash and power to a small group of people. If you think otherwise, you're simply wrong -- just look at the evidence.

Ford Escape Hybrid Value
I'm sure by now, if you haven't been living completely under a rock (where this blog is indeed published to), you've noticed the recent surge towards "green" power. I mean besides algore and his "Warming the Globe with Global Warming" tour.
More people are simply wanting to "go green." There's reports of people modifying cars to run on oil instead of diesel. Many want solar power for their homes. There's kits for solar everything. Half the shows on DIY and other such networks reference "green" technologies. And Ford has taken the lead in offering people "green" solutions with hybrid cars.
I've mentioned before -- I have absolutely NO problem with people who want to use so-called "alternative" sources of energy. It's new technology, so I'm always interested in it. My problem is when people FORCE me (or others) to use things that they like, just because they like them. This issue is loaded with emotion, so I thought I'd add some facts.
Many people who want to "go green" want to do so to save the earth. I think that's a total load of crap. I think people who actually believe man can really shape the earth's climate are awful full of themselves. The biggest reason I haven't "gone green" is the same problems solar and other sources of energy have always had -- they're too expensive and not as efficient as other sources. Once they become economically feasible, they'll explode in popularity. Seriously. When it costs LESS to power my house with solar, I'll buy it in a minute. So will lots and lots of other people.
The environmental wackos and their church of environmentalism know this, so they want you to think you're saving money. The Ford Escape Hybrid is a recent incarnation of this attempt to fool people. You see, with high gas prices, members of the church of the earth want you to think you'll save money by using hybrid cars (while "saving" the environment). Well, a simple analysis shows that's simply NOT true:
The Ford 2008 Escape Hybrid (SUV), according to the Ford web site gets 34 mpg and costs $25075 (starting MSRP). The Ford 2008 Escape Non-Hybrid (SUV) gets 28 mpg and costs $18770 (starting MSRP). None of those numbers are real accurate or great, but they'll do for comparison.
The "average" US driver goes about 15000 miles per year. Comparing the two vehicles, the Hybrid uses 441.18 gallons in a year, while the Non-hybrid uses 535.71 gallons in the same year. At an average of $3 a gallon, the Hybrid costs $1,324 to fuel for a year, while the Non-hybrid costs $1,607.
For purposes of this comparison, I'm only including initial costs and fuel.
For 10 years of service:
Non-hybrid costs: $18770 + 16070 = $34,840.
Hybrid costs: $25075 + 13240 = $38,315.
In other words, if one person bought a hybrid and his neighbor bought the non-hybrid, the hybrid would cost about $3,500.00 MORE over the same 10-year time period. In fact, it would take over 22 years of driving the vehicle for the reduced cost in gas to make up for the increased cost of the vehicle -- and that's not including possible additional repair expenses associated with the electric motor and battery (because the hybrid simply will cost more to repair because it has the same parts as the non-hybrid and more).
So if you're buying a hybrid Escape because you think you're saving money, you're simply wrong. If you're a member of the environmental church, feel free to buy the hybrid to "save the earth," but realize it is costing you money to do so.

Very true while the idea is great most of the so called green concepts are unfeasable at this time. There are though some things that are feasable but you dont see pushed as much.. say ground source heating and cooling butt he problem with it is its too expensive to upgrade and exisisting house but for building new i'd say its the way to go.. Wind power is always nice too.

The expense is always huge. I was looking into buying a complete solar system for my next house -- but while I might save a couple hundred dollars a month in bills, the overall cost of the system is just huge. When they develop the technology that is economically feasible, sign me up!

But the greenies only see the tailpipe output, they don't see dollars.
You also have to consider the effect and cost of getting new or getting rid of the batteries in the hybrid. They are toxic.

Good point on the batteries, I forgot about those!
And the greenies absolutely should be free to buy and run these things. I don't have any problem with that. I think they're morons, but they should be free to be morons. What bothers me most is when they want to force me to spend my money to make them feel good. That's just wrong.

Ban Ki-moon: Insane
Wow. Is there anything that we can't blame on the country formerly known as the United States? The new Secretary General of the U.N. is picking up right where the last one left off: with total insanity. This new loon is now
actually blaming the battles in Darfur on the United States! Yes, because YOU drive an SUV, people are dying in Darfur!
How do you possibly respond to such a person who really is this disconnected from reality? This is the same as me blaming the bank robbery last week in Charlotte on Ban Ki-moon because he didn't use the UN to give money to the bank robber so he wouldn't have to rob the bank. And this intelligence-challenged wacko is actually in charge of the UN! Wow. All I can say is, "Wow."
And yes, I'm well aware that this is nothing more than the UN trying to force the US to give them more money. But the fact that this brain-dead loony can even be taken serious for a minute shows how really, really anti-American and evil the U.N. has become.

If Moon wanted to nitpick, he could have noticed that China is the nation currently involved in Sudan's oil industry--of course, that would still be missing the point: does anyone really think that the killing would stop tomorrow if only there were no natural resources in Sudan? It's not a battle for oil--it's a cruel and backward govt struggling to maintain total control over its citizens.

Moon thinks the killing would stop if the US wasn't so free. Go figure.

Another reminder that the UN exhausted what moral authority it had (if any) long ago. Shame the dinosaur is still hanging on...

I wish Jessse Helms had been more sucessful in dismantling that evil beast when he tried in the past. There's NO question that this excuse for an organization needs to go the way of the League of Nations.

Great Global Warming Swindle
Here's a video. It's a LONG video -- an hour and fifteen minutes. But it really exposes and shows the actual, real, details about "how a media scare became the defining idea of a generation."
A few quotes from the video:
"You can't say that CO2 drives climate -- it never has in the past!"
"It [global warming] is a political activist movement -- not based on science."
"Tens of thousands of jobs depend on global warming right now... it's a big business... it's an industry... if it were to collapse, there'd be thousands of people out of work."
"If you disagree, you are called a heretic."
"The earth's climate is ALWAYS changing...and has changed without any help from humans."
"If we go back 8,000 years, it was MUCH warmer than it is today -- for over 300 years. And polar bears clearly survived that time."
"After the post-war economic industrial boom, temperatures DROPPED for 40 years...when human production of CO2 was rapidly increasing, the temperatures were decreasing."
"Observations shows that there is no temperature increase due to greenhouse gases"
Algore likes to say that CO2 levels are high when temperature is high. What he leaves out is the fact that the temperature LEADS CO2 levels. In other words, instead of high CO2 levels causing high temperatures, according to the actual data from algore's ice samples, high temperatures CAUSE high levels of CO2 and not the other way around.
They said, "if the CO2 increases in the atmosphere, as a greenhouse gas, then the temperature will go up." But the ice core records show exactly the opposite. So the fundamental assumptions, THE most fundamental assumption of the whole theory of climate change due to humans is shown to be wrong.
"Humans are not the main source of carbon dioxide"
"If you heat the surface of the ocean, it will emit more carbon dioxide."
"It was the sun, not carbon dioxide or anything else, that was driving changes in the climate."
"The sun is driving climate change. CO2 is irrelevant."
"By the 1990s tens of billions of government dollars were being diverted into research on global warming."
The analogy I use is, "My car's not running very well; so I'm going to ignore the engine, which is the sun; and I'm going to ignore the transmission, which is water vapor; and I'm going to look at one nut on the right rear wheel, which is the human-produced CO2. The science is that bad.
It's a long movie, but very well-worth watching the entire thing if you really want the real facts about the man-made global warming myth, what the climate is really doing and why; and why man-man global warming is such a big deal and so hard-pushed by so many.
(H/T Louisiana Conservative).

Yeah, no one has yet answered for me how much of our global warming is due to the earth's axis tilt change versus manmade warming. I know there is some but I also know that huge tracts of land...say all the mountains in WV that have been stripped ... have been stripped of natural resources... plants need CO2... it is vital to their survival... in return they give us back oxygen that is vital to our and other species' survival...
Now that they stripped mined WV to death there has been talk of closing down most if not all the coal mines... so there's a million or two suddenly out of work... work that nobody else would do... not even illegal aliens.
And somebody please shut Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson up...I'm so sick of their victimizing everyone who is Black...they seem to forget there are white girls on that team, too.

Nope, that has nothing to do with it!! Really, check the video. The culprit is THE SUN. Yes, it's hard to believe, but the main factor that determines climate change is THE SUN. Shocking, isn't it?

and furthermore... I wonder what would happen if we monitored everything said on Black networks about white people... and started putting it up everywhere we can for it to be noticed... think it would make a bit of difference? I don't. Their priveliged, right?

Well, i hijacked your post and didn't mean to. Right now I'm watching Hannity and Colmes...sorta...while I'm surfing... they are discussing that very thing. I suppose some want to be victims forever... if it gets them what they want without much effort, I suppose that's a good enough reason. As far as I can tell the girls who were supposedly so maligned haven't said a word of complaint about the whole thing. I wonder if they requested this media attention.
However, the longer and louder they yell, the less inclined I am to listen. I expect others feel the same way.
Still no answer to the global warming issue...apparently the earth's axis tilt has changed significantly already and is still changing... now significantly in this case is a degree or so but even while small sounding in normal everyday things is quite significant in terms of the earth's relationship to the sun.
Imagine how much more of the North Pole will be exposed to the sun on a constant basis and so on...I'm not a physics or geometry expert but I can grasp that much. So, how much of what has what effect on the whole?

In today's society, being a victim is a victory. Being a victim gets you special rights and often free cash. According to today's civil rights leaders, today's American dream is to be a victim.
