Searching for Chuck Norris

So, you want to Search for Chuck Norris, huh? I don't think you'll find him.

That's funny, right there, I don't care who you are.

Fred on Immigration

Well, it seems that Fred Thompson has released his immigration plans. They sound good. Then again, most of the people running for president right now are saying all sorts of things they don't really mean, support, or have ever done before. I don't know enough yet about Thompson to support him. Of course, I don't know enough about him yet to oppose him, either.

Then again, if immigration is your single issue, Tom Tancredo is the only way to go. Seriously. No one can beat Tom on immigration. Duncan Hunter is right there with Tancredo. Ron Paul's got great long-term solutions to immigration. Rudy McRomney all support amnesty and no international borders at all. Take your pick.

ABC News (D) has up a quiz to "help" you decide your candidate. It's pretty bad. Admittedly, you can only have so many options in a multiple choice test, but still, the questions are VERY slanted. For example, one says, "What is the best way the federal government can get more people covered by health insurance?" There's no answer for "The federal government should shut up and get out of all associations with health insurance, including any and all regulation of insurance at all."

I still ended up with Ron Paul #1, Tom Tancredo #2, and Duncan Hunter #3. Well, those are the three I certainly support the most at this time (even if I did disagree with them on this quiz a whole bunch).

US to God: Get Lost!

The open campaign to remove God from America continues. This time it's happening at The Washington Monument. We simply cannot, and will not, have any references to God Almighty in the country. It cannot be permitted. Why? Because in order to fully implement socialism, there can be NO higher power than government.

As usual, the government employees fall back on "I'm just doing my job."

I wish there were somewhere I could go that was interested in freedom. I wish there was somewhere I could go where I could worship whatever God I wanted without fear of history being changed against God. I wish there were a country that allowed full freedom of religion. Unfortunately, there's no such place today.

Sure, you can worship on your Sunday mornings (if the government gives you permission to do that in a certain place). And you can have your private thoughts about religion (for now). But any public expression of religion, if it's related to Christianity, simply will not be tolerated. If there is a historical event related to God, it will be censored. I wonder how soon it will be before all references to any higher power will be removed from the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution?

But at least we're not in fear of immediate retribution from God. While Soddom was destroyed because not one believer could be found, America still has a few left who honor and worship God. Those people may soon be in jail, as they have been in Canada and other countries, but for now America isn't jailing you for saying, "Jesus." Well, as long as you do it in the right place.

Oh, how I yearn for truth and freedom.

Road Taxes for Roads?

What a absolutely radical idea! According to this report, Fred Smith, if elected governor of North Carolina, will actually use money that is collected via taxes for building roads to -- wait for it -- BUILD ROADS! This man is clearly a serious radical.

For decades now, the Democrats (who have controlled the North Carolina state government for LITERALLY over 100 years -- the Republicans have NEVER, ever, in all recorded history had a majority in the Senate) have been collecting money from things like gas taxes and motor vehicles taxes. When these laws were passed, the reason the taxes were placed on those vehicles was to pay for roads. However, the Democrats just didn't want to build roads. Instead, they decided they wanted to, well, basically just give the money to their friends. They have been taking billions from the highway and roads funds and putting it in the "general" budget. If you've driven on any roads in North Carolina in the past 10 years, you can see the effect this has.

Fred Smith, who is running for governor, says that he's had enough. He says that money collected from taxes to build roads should be used to build roads. I just can't grasp the concept. Here in North Carolina, we just don't need roads. After all, according to mayor Pat McCrory, building a big train set will solve all the world's problems.

But hey, maybe if you support building roads (and repairing the pothole ridden things we have now), perhaps you should think about supporting Fred Smith for governor.

Schip. Again.

schip.jpg

Well, it's coming back again. Folks, we ARE going to have socialized medicine. It doesn't matter that it doesn't work. It doesn't matter that it will hurt and kill people, just like socialism does every single place on the planet it's ever been tried. You see, socialism works for two reasons: because it's for the "greater good" (even if it kills some people, others will be better off) and because, at least in America, there's many good people.

You see, there's a lot of people in America still left that just won't give up. There's a lot of people who still see the value in hard work, so they're going to work hard, no matter what. There's people who, even if the income tax rises to 75%, are still going to work hard. Of course, that number continues to shrink as more people find out that if they don't work, government will provide, well, everything for them.

But there's still that mass of people who just ignore government, ignore politics, and continue working. There's the mass that doesn't realize that 20-50% of their earnings are being taken from them -- they just don't care because they're going to work hard. As long as there is this mass, socialism and socialist medicine will continue to expand, and will continue to work in America.

Of course, once more students from public schools graduate -- who have not been taught that hard work is good -- and more people retire and simply give up -- it will be harder to sustain the socialist system. The next generation is in serious trouble -- but no one cares about them. And after all, socialized medicine will "help" some people.

So socialism continues. Socialist medicine (SCHIP) will be implemented. And good people will continue to work hard -- at least as long as they can. And freedom will continue to decline until it just simply doesn't exist -- but you won't know, because you'll be working too hard.

Raven has more gory details.

Blame for Fires

Well, I'm glad we've finally figured out the solution to all the fires in California. You see, while Barbara Boxer blames Bush, it appears that she was wrong all along. Instead, according to liberal, unelected bureaucrats (who are never, ever, ever, wrong), it was just lack of money. All we have to do is give up MORE money that we earn, and there will be no fires in California. Isn't that great news?

Therefore, all you liberals must immediately agree to send 80% of your earnings to California. It's for the "public good" and will "benefit everyone." And if you do, according to the bureaucrats, there will be no fires (or at least none that cause any damage). Isn't utopia wonderful?

Oh, and if, after you send them 80% of what you earn there are still fires, it only shows that you didn't give them enough money or the wrong people were in charge. A "new plan" will fix that (with a few more dollars, of course).

Liberals (Democrats/Socialists/etc) -- is there anything they can't do (with your money)?

More Victims of Homosexuals

Hey look, more children have been sacrificed by the homosexual lobby. These people do not care who gets hurt or damaged as they reach towards their goal of absolute and total approval of their lifestyle. Any hint of criticism of any homosexual act will be met with destruction.

In this case, an untold number of children who need help, who need foster homes, will now not be allowed a kind, loving home. Some unknown number of children will instead live without a family because of the homosexual agenda. And it's not because someone decided they wanted to say homosexuals were wrong. They didn't even want to say that homosexuals were bad. What did this couple do that was SO EVIL that they're now unfit to be foster parents?

They refused to teach their children that homosexuality was normal, acceptable, and they approved of it. That's the situation in England now. If you do not ACTIVELY PROMOTE and open approve of men putting their **** in another man's ****, then you are an unfit parent.

I only wonder how long it will be before people are jailed simply for NOT speaking "Gay is great."

This is not about acceptance or approval. In case you missed it, these people, and dozens of children, are being punished because they refused to stand up and tell 11-year old children that homosexuality is good. They didn't even have the option to teach nothing -- they are not permitted to remain silent. They HAD to explain to 11 year old children that putting your **** in another man's **** was a good thing.

Wow. What a completely and totally screwed up country. But don't worry, I'm sure we're close to that here in America. Anyone want to start a country with me where people have freedom to have religious beliefs and rights to say whatever they believe?

(H/T to Raven).

CMS and the Law

A little local news to Charlotte -- did you know that the lords attorneys for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg fiefdom have decided that laws just don't apply to the rulers board members? The law says no state employee shall:

(1) Take any active part in managing a campaign, or campaign for political office or otherwise engage in political activity while on duty or within any period of time during which he is expected to perform services for which he receives compensation from the State;

(2) Otherwise use the authority of his position, or utilize State funds, supplies or vehicles to secure support for or oppose any candidate, party, or issue in an election involving candidates for office or party nominations, or affect the results thereof.

However, the board says that the superintendent of schools "may advocate for passage of the bonds using taxpayer dollars." Apparently, according to the kings of the county county board, even though he's paid by taxpayers, he's not a state employee. Well, that is what Democrats do -- make up any meaning for any word that they like.

Oh, but the better part is that the board continued to vote to withhold from the public any and all memos that showed that the board didn't care what the law was. The board continued to attempt to cover up their attempts to blatantly use taxpayer cash, in clear violation of the law, to lobby for passage of bonds so they could get more cash. I wonder if they did a cost-benefit analysis (at taxpayer expense) to determine how much taxpayer money they should spend in order to get more taxpayer money.

A portion of the memo:

Thus, it MUST TAKE A [political advocacy] POSITION WITH REGARD TO THE BOND PROPOSAL AND SUBSIDIZE THE POSITION THAT IT TAKES [with tax dollars]...." [added]

The bureaucracy is expanding to meet the growing needs of the bureaucracy. Keep that in mind -- the school system exists to spend money and expand -- NOT to educate anyone, anytime, or anywhere.

Have I mentioned that public schools are just plain evil before? Oh, and since all this is in support of more taxes and expanding government; and since the state of North Carolina is ruled with an iron fist by Democrats, there's no need to expect any more from this. It's only illegal if Democrats don't like it; and it's never illegal if it helps Democrats. Laws are for suckers.

Boxer Politicizes Fire

SHAME ON YOU BARBARA BOXER!

SAN DIEGANS & PRO-TROOP GROUP CONDEMN SENATOR BOXER FOR POLITICIZING FIRESTORM WITH COMMENTS ON IRAQ

The nationÂ’s largest pro-troop organization, Move America Forward (website: www.MoveAmericaForward.org) is speaking out to condemn Senator Barbara Boxer for politicizing the southern California fires.

Earlier on Tuesday in comments on Capitol Hill, Boxer attacked the mission in Iraq, laying blame on AmericaÂ’s effort to destroy terrorism with the deployment of U.S. troops in Iraq for hindering fire-fighting efforts in California.

“Shame on Barbara Boxer for trying to take a political shot at the missions and abilities of our troops during a time of crisis in San Diego,” said Howard Kaloogian, San Diego County resident and founder of Move America Forward.

Former State Assemblyman Howard Kaloogian was part of thousands of people evacuated from their homes in San Diego County on Monday. Kaloogian lives in San Elijo Hills. Move America ForwardÂ’s Vice Chairman, Lt. Colonel Buzz Patterson (USAF, Ret.) has prepared his family for evacuation in Simi Valley, CA, as the Malibu fire is threatening to come over the mountain into populated parts of Ventura County. The family of Move America Forward Grassroots coordinator, Joe Wierzbicki, was forced to evacuate from their homes in Fallbrook to the ocean after flames approached.

“Now is a time for people to come together to help one another during this awful natural disaster. Thousands of Californians have lost their homes, or may lose them in the next 24 hours, and the focus should be on how to help these people, not play petty and pathetic political games,” said Colonel Patterson, Move America Forward Vice Chairman.

Patterson also pointed out that if, “Senator Boxer was so concerned about insufficient military equipment, she should stop voting against military appropriations.”

Besides being shameless, Senator BoxerÂ’s comments are also inaccurate. As Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense Paul McHale declared today:

"I can tell you unequivocally that the ongoing war-fighting activities ... have had no negative effect at all (on) our ability to provide sufficient forces to assist civilian authorities in fighting the wildfires.... There is no manpower shortage,” McHale has publicly stated.

A Pig is a Pig

When Tom Burnett Sr. was helping to pick a memorial to Flight 93, he objected vehemently to the planting of a huge Islamic shaped crescent on the crash site. The Project asked if he would be okay with the Crescent of Embrace design if they didn't call it a crescent. He said no way:

What the hell? You change words. A pig is a pig!
No doubt about that.

A pig is a pig

"How about if we don't CALL it a crescent?" (Click pic for larger image)

See that Memorial Plaza that is situated roughly in the position of the star on an Islamic crescent and star flag? It marks the crash site. It doesn't have to be CALLED an Islamic star for this placement as the star on an Islamic flag to be inappropriate.

Mountain Goat and the 44 blocks

From PJ Country comes news of the Memorial Project's latest effort to help architect Paul Murdoch adjust the disguise on his terrorist memorializing design, just enough for him to slip through gate security.

"Mountain Goat" called the Memorial Project a few weeks ago to ask about the 44 inscribed translucent blocks that are to be emplaced along the flight path. (There were 40 heroes and 4 terrorists on the flight.)

The person he spoke to said that the three translucent marble blocks that were to be inscribed with the 9/11 date are going to be replaced with a single block, "roughly the length three of the other blocks would have been."

That would reduce the block count from 44 to 42, but would it actually fix anything?

Whether the 9/11 date is inscribed on three blocks or one, these blocks are to be built into a separate section of Memorial Wall that is centered on the bisector of the giant crescent. That is the exact position of the star on an Islamic crescent and star flag. Thus the date goes to the Islamic flag--the date goes to the terrorists--no matter how many blocks are used.

Date centered on bisector of crescent

See that trail that enters the Memorial Plaza (the star on the flag) from the left? It divides the Memorial Wall into separate upper and lower sections. The upper section has the 9/11 date inscribed. You can see that this upper section of wall is centered on the bisector of the giant crescent (the exact position of an Islamic star). Click for larger image.

End it, don't mend it

No amount of tweaking the design can alter its terrorist memorializing intent. "Fix" every one of the half dozen large scale terrorist memorializing features in the design by making them all a little bit "off," and it only establishes the long term Islamo-fascist goal of one day restoring the Crescent mosque to its intended configuration, the same way the jihadists now use re-possession of the al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem (the Dome of the Rock) as a motivation driving the Jews out of Israel.

Most ridiculous of all is the Bowl of Embrace redesign, which leaves every particle of the original Crescent of Embrace design completely intact, only adding some surrounding trees. http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z36/AlecRawls/CrescentandBowlstacked65.jpg "Here, put on this burka, then you can sneak your bomb on board the airplane."

The proper answer, when someone is caught trying to sneak an Islamo-fascist plot through gate security, is not to tell him to go back outside and try again. It is to cart him away.

  6. in pointing out the numerous redundant mosque design features

NC Education: For the Diploma

Well, at least they're being honest. A new government bureaucratic legislative panel has been formed to "increase high school graduation rates" in North Carolina. But hey, they'll be spending $7 million to "encourage" successful initiatives.

Please note what the "panel" is not concerned with: education. They honestly do not care about education or learning. The public schools are NOT interested in how much anyone learns, seriously. Once again, some within the system (the teachers) may be concerned with that, but the public school system DOES NOT CARE.

If you want to know why the education system exists today, please read this book. Again, it's long and detailed, but it's scarily honest:

In 1840, the literacy rate in America was between 93 and ONE HUNDRED percent.
By 1940 the literacy rate for whites was 96%, for blacks, 80%.

Six decades later, at the end of the twentieth century, the National Adult Literacy Survey and the National Assessment of Educational Progress say 40 percent of blacks and 17 percent of whites canÂ’t read at all. Put another way, black illiteracy doubled, white illiteracy quadrupled. Before you think of anything else in regard to these numbers, think of this: we spend three to four times as much real money on schooling as we did sixty years ago, but sixty years ago virtually everyone, black or white, could read.

States vs. Feds

Do states have any say in anything? If the federal government makes a declaration, can any state, at any time, contradict their statements? Seriously, think about that question for a moment before you read on -- is there anything the federal government can say where the states can just tell the feds to get lost?

Keep in mind, according to the US Constitution, once the supreme law of the land:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people

In other words, according to that ancient document, the states can nearly ALWAYS tell the federal government to take a hike. That's how things are supposed to be. Unless the law is supported by the Constitution directly, states are supposed to make up their own mind.

So then why can't California (and a few other states) make their own rules regarding auto emissions? California asked the EPA (there was the first mistake) for permission to make more restrictions on cars driving in the state. Apparently the EPA said "no." And for some reason, California said, "Gee, okay."

Hey California, how about growing a pair? Oh, right, it's California. But seriously, if California decided they wanted to create their own emission standards, how in the world could the federal government stop them? This is something I would LOVE to see. I'd love to see each state make their own standards and have the federal government run around trying to stop them. States SHOULD do this.

I know, you people who favor the auto industry say that it would be impossible for auto makers to comply with 50 different sets of regulations. I say, "SO WHAT!?!" That's a GOOD thing! It would make for more competition! It might make cars more expensive -- again, good for competition! I can see regional auto manufacturers! Man, would that be great. But "Big Auto" could never have that -- it might cut into their profits.

Once again, this shows that freedom can work -- and should work. It also shows that the federal government, state governments, and industry all working together CAN crush freedom. Oh, how I yearn for freedom.

Turkey to Iraq

And no, I'm not talking about the Turkeys in the US Congress who wanted to instigate members of the country Turkey. I'm talking about Turks who are headed to Iraq.

Can someone explain the US reaction here? I try to keep up with world affairs. I try and keep informed about what's going on (because I know it might affect me, even if it shouldn't). But I don't understand what the US is so upset about. I think they should be happy and excited!

Turkey is being attacked by terrorists from Iraq. Turkey wants to go into Iraq and kill the terrorists. How is this any different from what the US did? Why would the US want to stop them, other than just to be the only world's policeman? Turkey has soldiers that have been kidnapped by people in Iraq. I think Turkey should go get them back, post haste, no matter what the US says.

Update: Now Turkey says:

"Cease-fires is possible between states and regular forces," Babacan said. "The problem here is that we're dealing with a terrorist organization."

The PKK has called on Turkey not to attack Iraq, claiming that a unilateral rebel cease-fire declared in June was still in place although it did not halt fighting.

Hey, anyone want this guy to help our country out? He's really calling it like it is. The terrorists are actually claiming they have already stopped attacking -- despite just killing some Turkish forces! They're terrorists -- go get 'em, Babacan. Go get your soldiers back!

Henderson County NEEDS cash

So says their board of county commissioners and school board. And predictably, the very first thing they use to support the tax increase is "For The Children:"

Our schools depend on it.

Liars.

These people are incompetent. They're irresponsible with money. They have no fiscal common sense. And they're not above using and saying ANYTHING to get more cash to spend. For example, they're complaining it's the end of the world because they NEED $31 million to build two schools. And they've NEEDED this money for ELEVEN YEARS! Yes, the entire school system will fail if they don't get a dump truck load of cash ELEVEN YEARS AGO. And we're supposed to take them seriously.

And they lie about the purpose and who will be affected by the "land transfer tax." They claim that it will "spread that burden to those who are creating the growth in our county." That's simply a lie. Know who has to pay that tax, primarily? Anyone who wants to LEAVE the "community." ANYONE who sells their house, no matter if they make a profit, will pay the tax. That's not "those who are creating growth," it's the people who don't want to live there any more.

Of course, they'll also use threats to get their money:

These projects must be funded, so if this referendum fails, the property taxes will have to be increased.

In other words,
We're government and you're not. We DEMAND that you give us a whole pile of cash because we want to spend it. You have no say in the matter, we're going to spend the money. However, if you vote for this new tax, we will claim that you wanted to give us the money to spend. And if you vote down this new tax, we'll just take the money anyway and spend it.

You're not government and we are. You're too stupid to know how to spend money you work for and earn (and we're incapable of actually earning money or creating ANYTHING), so we, the anointed, will spend the money you earn for you. Now shut up and give us this money or we will tax you even more.

What bastards. I wonder what it would be like to live in a country where the government was run by the people and for the people instead of by the bureaucrats FOR the bureaucrats.

NaNoWriMo 2007

It's almost here! NaNoWriMo 2007 is getting ready to start. If you've EVER wanted to, or thought about writing a novel, this is the time and place to get started!

National Novel Writing Month is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30.

Valuing enthusiasm and perseverance over painstaking craft, NaNoWriMo is a novel-writing program for everyone who has thought fleetingly about writing a novel but has been scared away by the time and effort involved.

Come on, it's lots of fun! I've been playing for 3 years now, and I love it. I finished twice, and didn't finish once. Come on, do this ESPECIALLY if you don't have time! Really, it works.

Christian = You're Fired

In most businesses, if you lie, you get fired. They expect you to tell the truth. But in government, if you tell the truth, or even have someone visit who's telling the truth (even when you counter-balance that by inviting someone who lies), you get fired. Well, that is if the ACLU and CAIR dislike the truth.

At issue in Raleigh is Robert Escamilla, who dared to invite a Christian in school to talk about the Bible IN BIBLE HISTORY CLASS. He will be on Hannity and Colmes tonight at 9pm. He's got a web page up listing a chronology of events -- facts. And the school board, by releasing confidential personnel records, has boosted his case -- that's he's basically been fired for disagreeing with Islam.

This is blatant and open religious discrimination. The man has simply been fired because he disagrees with Islam. It's not even because he's a Christian, but because someone WHO DID NOT HEAR his guest was "offended" and called the ACLU and CAIR. And everyone knows that government only supports those two religions (atheism and Islam) -- if you disagree with those religions, you cannot work for government, plain and simple.

According to the government, Mr. Escamilla was a near-perfect teacher for EIGHTEEN years. But suddenly, in the period of one week, he went from near-perfect to being "unfit" to teach in public schools. What's the difference? He invited a Christian to speak at the school. Keep in mind -- he also invited TWO Muslims to speak to the same students as well. Yes, if you now even TALK to Christians, you're "unfit" to be in a public school.

I keep telling you that public schools are the cesspool and garbage pits of America today. KEEP YOUR CHILDREN AWAY. Unless you're atheist or Muslim, the public school system honestly hates you.
