Whiny Unemployed Feds

Have you read the latest whinings of the unemployed? Apparently some folks got fired because they were crappy at their job, and now they're whining with help from Democrats. Well, if you're going to whine, and you want advice on how to do it, Democrats are second only to the French in skill and ability in that area.

And since it's Democrats that are whining, you know who's to blame, right? Absolutely: Bush.

First, a little lesson for Democrats and anyone else who doesn't understand the US Constitution:

The government is divided up into three branches. Two of them are the executive branch and the legislative branch. The legislative branch, which includes Congress, gets to make laws. The executive branch, which includes the president, gets to enforce laws. There's another branch, but I don't want to confused the small-minded.

The Justice department falls under the executive branch. This means that all the people in that department work for the president. Most of the people in the justice department serve at the president's will -- that means that the president can fire those people when he wants to. This is why there is so much turnover in the cabinet and at other high-level posts when a new president is elected.

Any questions so far?

Okay, in this article, various fired federal prosecutors are complaining (with help from Democrats) that they were fired for political reasons. They also claim they felt pressured by members of Congress to do certain things.

First, remember who they work for? They work for the president. So if the president wants to fire you, he can. And yes, the president is a political position. Therefore, there's nothing wrong with being fired for political reasons when you serve an elected official! That's how government works. I wish MORE government employees were fired when the elected officials changed.

Next, the "pressure" claim. They claim that members of Congress called them and pressured them. If I call you, the good reader, on the phone right now and tell you that you should look out your window or your job will suffer, how much pressure do you feel? Apparently the fired prosecutors don't realize that they don't actually work for the Congressmen (I know the Democrats think they do, but that's another story). If you don't work for someone, how can they "pressure" you? And if you feel threatened, call the police, that's what they're there for.

It's just another reason to bash Bush and literally nothing more. You'd think the Democrats would realize that they were in power by now.

NC Democrats Oppose Marriage

North Carolina bill S13 is a bill that would Constitutionally define a marriage:

Marriage is the union of one man and one woman at one time. This is the only marriage that shall be recognized as valid in this State. The uniting of two persons of the same sex or the uniting of more than two persons of any sex in a marriage, civil union, domestic partnership, or other similar relationship within or outside of this State shall not be valid or recognized in this State. This Constitution shall not be construed to require that marital status or the rights, privileges, benefits, or other legal incidents of marriage be conferred upon unmarried individuals or groups.

It would ask that the voters of the state get to vote and either approve or disapprove the above statement. That's all it would do. The bill would not create any laws, it would just ask that the voters of the state get to decide if those lines be placed in the North Carolina Constitution. The bill has 17 co-sponsors (34% of the Senate).

However, the Democrats (who have controlled the NC Senate for OVER 100 years) don't want the voters to even have the chance to add those lines to the Constitution. It is likely that the amendment would pass in NC. So the Democrats do not want to allow that.

In an open representative republic, bills such as the above bill would be introduced to the floor of the chamber and the members would vote on whether or not the bill should be passed. In the Senate, since the Democrats have a majority, it would be a simple matter for them to put the bill out there and vote it down.

But then the voters would actually see and realize that the Democrats are OPPOSED to marriage between one man and one woman. And the Democrats cannot be honest about their positions, because they'd lose elections if they were.

So instead, the Democrats resort to underhanded and dirty tactics (like they always do in the NC government). The bill has been assigned to the "Ways and Means" committee. The Ways and Means Senate committee last met June 21st, 2001! That's correct, the committe hasn't met in almost SIX YEARS.

But that's how the Democrats in NC work. They absolutely cannot be on the record about their opposition to marriage -- instead they have to use dirty tricks to put bills they don't like in places where they "disappear." Then the Democrats can destroy anything they don't like without letting people see their up or down votes on the matter.

Good ol Boy politics -- it's how government works in North Carolina. No representation for you, you're too stupid.

More French Jokes

Once upon a time (allegedly) in a nice little forest, there lived an orphaned bunny and an orphaned snake. By a surprising coincidence, both were blind from birth. One day, the bunny was hopping through the forest, and the snake was slithering through the forest, when the bunny tripped over the snake and fell down. This, of course, knocked the snake about quite a bit. "Oh, my," said the bunny, "I'm terribly sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I've been blind since birth, so, I can't see where I'm going. In fact, since I'm also an orphan, I don't even know what I am." "It's quite OK," replied the snake. "Actually, my story is much the same as yours. I, too, have been blind since birth, and also never knew my mother. Tell you what, maybe I could slither all over you, and work out what you are, so at least you'll have that going for you." "Oh, that would be wonderful" replied the bunny. So the snake slithered all over the bunny, and said, "Well, you're covered with soft fur; you have really long ears; your nose twitches; and you have a soft cottony tail. I'd say that you must be a bunny rabbit." "Oh, thank you! Thank you," cried the bunny, in great excitement. The bunny suggested to the snake, "Maybe I could feel you all over with my paw, and help you the same way that you've helped me." So the bunny felt the snake all over, and remarked, "Well, you're smooth and slippery, and you have a forked tongue, no backbone or no balls. I'd say you must be French."

The French have only one actual fighting war hero, Joan of Arc, and they turned her over to the enemy!

Going to war without France is like going to marine boot camp without your Liza Minelli CD's

Edwards on Jesus

So, John Edwards can not only channel the thoughts of dead people (for cash), now he is claiming to know Jesus' thoughts:

I think that Jesus would be disappointed in our ignoring the plight of those around us who are suffering and our focus on our own selfish short-term needs. I think he would be appalled, actually.

Those who are involved with politics know exactly what this is. There is no doubt that this is nothing more than this:
When Edwards tells us what Jesus would do he is pandering for votes

Apparently the DNC has sent out it's yearly memo to tell Democrats to be friendly to churches and to appear religious so you can get those votes. It must be working on some people, or they wouldn't keep doing it. However, I really have to wonder about religious people who watch this sort of thing and actually believe it. I know there must be people out there who heard or read his speech and thought, "Oh, isn't that nice? John cares about people, just like Jesus did! That's just great. I think I'll vote for him because he's like Jesus." I am truly amazed, but there MUST be people who buy this circus act that or the Democrats wouldn't put on this show year after year.
Other people have done an absolutely EXCELLENT job in trying to point out the incredibly, absolute and total hypocrisy of Edwards:
A sermon about “appalling selfishness” coming from the Preening Pony who lives in a 28,000 square feet, 6 million dollar mansion paid for, at least in part, by exorbitant contingency fees that he earned by hoodwinking barely sentient apes in a jury box with testimony from beyond the grave, channeled by John “I Hear Dead People” Edwards himself.

However, John Edwards actually believes what he says.

No, I'm serious. He's not trying to put on an act. He really believes that he can live in a $6 million mansion and complain that we're selfish and that makes perfect sense. Why? His world view. He's a socialist. He honestly believes that what he has is his and government should take everything else. When he's talking about "our" selfishness, he's talking about everyone else but him. That's the socialist/Democrat mindset.

When Edwards complains about "ignoring the plight of the suffering," he's talking about government -- everyone but himself. Keep in mind as you read on -- government has ZERO money. They do not do anything to earn money. They can only take money by force from people -- that's the ONLY way they can get money. So let's take a look at what Jesus actually did say in regards to government handouts and helping the poor.

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'

"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'

"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

Matthew 25:35-45

That's one of the biggest sections of the New Testament in which Jesus talks about giving to the poor and needy. But to whom was Jesus talking? At the time, the government was the Roman government. All people were subject to Roman laws. And Jesus clearly wasn't talking to them. So Jesus must have been talking to people -- to individuals.

Jesus did not say, "Use what force of arms you can gather together under the guise of government and take by force all that you can without resulting in death, such that you may take from one and give to another so that the poor may have what the rich have worked for." Sorry, Mr. Edwards, that's not how the story goes.

Instead, what may make more sense is 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12:

For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat."

Surely, there are poor. There are those who have less. But nowhere in the Bible, as Mr. Edwards alleges, does it say that one group of people should force another to give to the poor. In fact, what Mr. Edwards has proposed, in his context, is that the laws of the Bible should be forced upon all the people with government!

Jesus gave to the poor. Jesus spent his life on this planet working and helping the poor and needy. Jesus spent some time asking others and telling others of the benefits of giving to the poor. The Bible is quite clear on that issue:

He who gives to the poor will never want, but he who shuts his eyes will have many curses.

Proverbs 28:27

But none of that can be applied to the government. Government is absolutely and completely incapable of being nice, generous, or compassionate. Giving to the poor, as outlined in the Bible, helps individuals. It allows people to help one another. It allows individuals to give to Jesus. When a person does not give to the poor, they are taking from Jesus -- but governments are not capable of salvation. Governments will not stand before the throne on judgment day -- individuals will.

Mr. Edwards, do not attempt to use the force of government to do God's work -- that's not why government exists. You will not be rewarded by Jesus for taking money from working people and giving it to others -- especially when you are living such a lavish life based on lies and deception.

And you who believe Mr. Edwards and who consider that he is "good" and "nice" because he wants to keep his millions and take from those who work to give to the poor as "Jesus wants him to," I leave you with the words of Isaiah 58:7 -- and please note the use of the words "YOU" and "YOUR," not "government" or "president:"

Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe him,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?

Gary Brugman: Wrongly Accused

[Editor's Note: This article is reprinted with permission from American Freedom Riders.]

A Pattern of Malicious Prosecution by U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton

by American Freedom Riders

Written by his own hand, former U.S. Border Patrol Agent Gary Brugman tells how, in the performance of his duty, he was falsely charged and convicted of violating the civil rights of an alien caught entering the U.S. illegally at the Mexican border. This case, along with the cases of Ramos and Compean, Hernandez, Sipe, and who knows how many more, serves as proof of the agenda of malicious prosecution by Johnny Sutton against law enforcement officers who dare to uphold our immigration laws. (Sutton bio - Note the joined-at-the-hip relationship with George W. Bush)

Once again, as in the Ramos and Compean case, Sutton worked in concert with the Mexican Consulate to locate a deported Mexican national and payed his way back to the United States many months later to testify against a Border Patrol agent on false assault charges. A Mexican national who had registered no previous complaint against Agent Brugman. What incentive was he given? Who knows. It is known that a member of his family subsequently received chemotherapy treatment in the U.S. In a post trial interview, Johnny Sutton went so far as to thank the Mexican Consulate for cooperation in locating the deported alien. (DOJ Press Release)

A scandalous, but creative twist to this prosecution was that the Sutton gang also brought a convicted and incarcerated drug smuggler from his prison cell to testify against Agent Brugman. A drug smuggler who Agent Burgman himself had captured six weeks after the incident for which he was being prosecuted. Once again, there had been no previous accusation of any civil rights violation. Now however, the convicted drug smuggler conveniently offered supporting testimony to the prosecution's false accusation that Gary Brugman was a rogue agent and a criminal. The false and vengeful testimony of this convicted drug smuggler should never have been allowed by the judge.

No one would listen to Gary Brugman several years ago and he spent two years in the general population at federal prisons wearing newspapers and magazines taped to his body as hopeful protection against inmate attacks. In view of what has recently been disclosed about Johnny Sutton's malicious tactics, his story will be viewed with great interest now. Gary lost everything and his life was ruined but he survived his sentence and is now a free man again. Gary Brugman remains a patriotic American and tells his story now only in an effort to help Ignacio Ramos, Jose Compean, and Gilmer Hernandez prove their innocence against the power, influence, and treachery of the U.S. Attorney and George Bush water boy, Johnny Sutton.

Note: Gary has been a Harley rider for twenty years and on February 18, 2007 he rode with the American Freedom Riders and joined the families of Ramos, Compean, and Hernandez in El Paso, Texas to protest the conviction of the "Texas Three". He is an honorable man and we are proud to call him our brother.

Read "My Story", by Gary Brugman 2-20-07, now...

Twisted Liberal Logic

The Raleigh News and Observer claims we can "raise" $1.4 billion for the state without raising taxes. How? By not allowing students to drop out of school. And I think it's a serious piece, not a parady or satire, unfortunately.

The "logic" claims that each dollar spend to reduce dropout rates "nets" $2.50 in "public benefit." So the more we spend, the more we earn, somehow. Geez, can't we just spend a billion dollars and quickly have an extra $2.5 billion to give away? Why stop there? Why not spend $10 billion on "education" so we'll have a $25 billion surplus!

What lunacy.

How about allowing freedom instead? I know it's a radical idea and a radical concept in today's world. But it sure would be nice to be free instead of having the state tell us what to do, wouldn't it? I know liberals hate to admit this, but not everyone in the state is smart. There's people that simply are not mentally or physically capable of learning. I'm very sorry, but that's the way it is. No matter how much you dumb down the education system so you're giving away diplomas to idiots, it won't change that fact.

How about we allow people to be free and instead, save even more than this fantasy, "public benefit" money? How about we stop supporting people who won't or can't learn? How about we stop giving away free medical care, housing, and food to anyone who doesn't want to work or get an education? That will not only save more money, it will save REAL, actual money that people earn -- instead of "pubic benefit" money -- which is really another way to say that government will have more cash to spend on their projects.

An officer brought the Major to the French general for interrogation. The French general began ridiculing the Major for wearing "that stupid red tunic." The French general said, "Why to you wear that red uniform, it makes it easy for us to shoot you." The British major replied, "If I do get wounded, the blood will not show, and my soldiers will not get scared." The French general said, "That is a very good idea," The Frenchy turned to his orderly and said, "From now on all French officers will wear brown pants."

Illegal Aliens Mudering THOUSANDS

"Illegal aliens are killing more Americans than the Iraq war, says a new report from Family Security Matters that estimates some 2,158 murders are committed every year by illegal aliens in the U.S. The group says that number is more than 15 percent of all the murders reported by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the U.S. and about three times the representation of illegal aliens in the general population. . ." NC Governor Easley: SPEND!

Governor Easley is in the last days of his time in elected office. In the 2008 elections, barring some quick and dirty changes to the NC Constitution (which is very possible) by the Democrats, Easley will have to give up his throne and allow another to spend money be governor. So, in his last days, he really wants to spend a LOT of your money.

He's already done all he can to make a high school diploma worthless in North Carolina. He's tried to ensure that every single person in the state (legally or illegally) gets a diploma, even if they can't add 2+2. Now he wants to make the college diploma just as worthless.

Since students aren't learning anything in school anyway, he proposes to allow high school students to get an associate's degree while in high school. Since they're not actually doing any educating in high school, there's no question that the students certainly have the time to do so. So why not give them away? Government hates competition, so this appears to be a move to compete -- with the mail-order diploma mills.

In addition, he wants to make college free -- for those who benefit, not everyone else. He proposes that if students are willing to "work" a whopping 10 hours a week, then they should get up to $50,000 in pay -- from the taxpayer. Don't you think it's a great idea for you, the taxpayer (and yes, you'll get this nationwide because we'll use federal dollars, too) to hire a student for 10 hours a week at $50,000 a year? Too bad, you don't have any say in the matter. He wants to take your money and give it to his pals in the education bureaucracy -- he doesn't even trust the student he loves to spend the money correctly, so he's actually proposing a transfer of funds from the taxpayers to the educrats -- in the name of the student (for the children), of course.

Oh, and those of you paying taxes and who will have to pay increased taxes to pay for such crap? Well, you're going to need to pay just a little bit more because Easley wants to buy a few more stupid poor people's votes -- he wants to increase taxes on people who work for a living "the wealthy," and decrease taxes on lazy bastards who don't work ("the poor").

What a socialist pile of crap. But that is what you get when you elect Democrats.

Friday Feast

Once again it's time for the Friday Feast. Here's how it works:

Each Friday when you visit this meme, you will find 5 enticing courses for your mind to gobble up:

Appetizer
- a quick, tasty morsel to get you started

Soup
- smooth and warm to soothe your mind

Salad
- a nutritious blend of "veggies"

Main Course
- a hearty portion that is sure to satisfy

Dessert
- light concoction for your sweet tooth

And now for this week's fare:
Appetizer: What does the color pink make you think of?

Ewe. Yuck. Girly things. And not in a good way. Sorry, if you're the guy who wears a pink shirt because you think it makes you secure in your manhood, you're dead wrong. You look queer. That's just the way it is.
Soup: Name something you thought you had lost, but later found.

My brain. No wait, I didn't find that. Hold on, I think I did. I forget now where I put it, but I'm sure it's around here somewhere...
Salad: In 3 words, describe this past week.

Snot, snot, and snot. Sorry. Need a visual?
Main Course: What are you obsessed with?

So many ways to go with this one. This week, I could say tissues. Or, I could go with the obvious answer: freedom. I guess it depends what the meaning of the word "are" is...
Dessert: What kind of perfume or cologne do you like to wear?

Yeah, that just turned my stomach right there. It was seeing the word "dessert" and getting all excited, then seeing the word "perfume" right after it. Folks, don't eat perfume. I know it says "alcohol," but it doesn't work like that. On this one, I'm like Raven -- I really don't have any use for the stuff. I rarely use it at all. And on females a tiny whiff is enough. If you can smell it and identify it, you used too much.

Jesus' Tomb

I just read another article about this "Tomb of Jesus" movie. This article is rather critical and blasts Cameron as "Cameron on Jesus is like Hefner on abstinence." Do you mean that there's people who are taking this seriously?

Have you people never heard of P.T. Barnum? Never heard of Snake Oil Salesmen? It's called "sensationalism," and it's about making money! Folks, it's not real. It's like the dog-faced boy and the "world's smallest woman" who can fit in the palm of your hand. It's amazing to me that people can really take this sort of silliness seriously.

Well, I guess it is true, "There's a Sucker Born Every Minute."

John Rhodes Day

I get news releases from various different organizations on all sorts of topics. When I see a release that interests me, I might post it with my commentary. If I see one that I don't agree with, I might post and bash it, or I might just ignore it. The other day I got this release:

Conservative Group in Charlotte launches John Rhodes Day website

We are the conservative group here in Charlotte and we started the www.JohnRhodesDay.com website.

We also do the www.SpeakOutCharlotte.com show with John Sullivan.

We all need to get this day moving so we can use it as a way to get honesty in our government.

Larry Bumgarner
Honesty@JohnRhodesDay.com

Normally, I'm no big fan of naming things after living people. But I met John Rhodes when he first started campaigning for elected office. I gave him money when he first started because I agreed with his position. And I still do.

Usually, when a person is accused of doing something wrong, they get defensive. That's a normal, human reaction. You don't want to admit you've done something wrong, so you might even attack the person who pointed that out. However, an honest person, a respectable person, eventually admit that they've done wrong. In fact, a person with integrity will go so far as to thank the person who pointed out the wrong. Oh, it's difficult. It's hard to admit your wrong, and even harder to thank the person for pointing it out. But it is good.

John Rhodes went to Raleigh in the House and he pointed out when people did wrong. When Jim Black (Democrat leader, felon) did things wrong, John Rhodes stood up and told him so. When Black didn't change, Rhodes told everyone else. Jim Black, instead of changing, instead attacked Rhodes.

As Rhodes continued to point out the wrongdoing in Raleigh, he continued to be attacked. His phones were disconnected. His budget was reduced. His office was moved. His legislative staff was taken away from him. Other staff was ordered not to help him. But John Rhodes didn't give up. He kept pointing out what was wrong.

Now I didn't agree with every single vote that Mr. Rhodes cast -- I had some serious issues with a couple of his votes. But overall, he voted for freedom and right, no matter the consequences.

One of the consequences was his removal from office. The Democrat political machine, and yes, the Republican machine, both did not like that he was pointing out the corruption in Raleigh. They all wanted him to stop rocking the boat and to just shut up. Rhodes refused to be quiet. So the Republicans, with cash help from the Democrats, ran a Democrat a patsy against him and made sure Rhodes lost the election.

John Rhodes is indeed a good man. He is honest as the day is long (in the middle of summer). And he's got integrity that cannot be beat. If it's wrong, he will tell you it's wrong, no matter who doesn't like it. If we had more like John Rhodes in government, we could actually have good government. Of course, the Democrats who have ruled the state with an iron fist for over 100 years have no interest in good government -- they just want cash and control.

John Rhodes, thank you for your service. Thank you for your honesty. And happy John Rhodes Day (March 22nd).

A Note to my Blogroll

Sorry!

To all those on my blogroll, especially those whom I normally visit, I'm sorry I haven't been around lately. I've had an extra-heavy workload at work and I've been insanely sick. In the past two-three weeks I've had sinusitis, bronchitis, the flu, pneumonia, and a head cold (at times, more than one at once). So, I've been barely able to stay alive, much less find time to wander about the blogs.

So I'm sorry for not visiting (and sorry about that snot that just splattered on the screen right there) -- I'm really out of it these days.

The workload will get lighter next week, and by then hopefully some of these darn germs will just die -- or I will one! Hope to be back soon!

Billions in Free Cash for Criminals

Apparently California continues unabated on it's path towards total socialism. They are now proposing that taxpayers give away billions of dollars to anyone who has the good luck of being born inside the state's borders.

I'm betting if this passes, there will be a surge in babies born at hospitals at or near the borders of the state (in all directions). Of course, there's absolutely NO residence requirements for this massive giveaway.

They're claming the bill will "increase savings." Well, DUH. It will increase savings because the state will be forcing taxpayers to save money FOR OTHER PEOPLE, whether they want to or not. No, it won't increase responsibility one bit -- in fact, it will DECREASE responsibility -- which is a hallmark of today's liberalism/socialist Democrat Party.

People should save money. Of that, there's no question. You should save money for your "retirement," you should save money to pay for sudden, unexpected expenses, and you should save money if you have planned expenses in the future. A responsible person will save money for just such reasons. If a person does NOT save money, they should be held just as responsible -- by not allowing them to have a retirement, or nice things they want (like a college education). Whether government should be involved with savings is questionable. Perhaps they could encourage it -- at the very least, they shouldn't punish it (as they do now).

This bill, however, does the exact opposite. This bill encourages people NOT to save because the government will take care of them! Why save for retirement when the government will give you free medical benefits and free retirement cash? Why save for college education when government wants to make it free for you? With this bill, everyone gets a free college education (paid for by taxpayers, of course). Why save for large, unexpected medical expenses when the government ensures you will get all the free medicine you want?

This bill does one thing, and one thing only -- and this is the absolute intent of those who introduced the bill: it makes people MORE dependent on government. It's a hand out, no matter how many times they lie and claim it's a "hand up." It's total socialism and it's completely and totally wrong in any sort of a free country -- which California is clearly not.

NC Democrats Raise Taxes Again

Despite having one of the highest sales taxes in the southeast, Democrats in NC simply don't have enough of your money to spend. Mike Easley says "it's for the children," and everyone is forced to open their pocket books. Democrats are now preparing to raise the sales tax by 14%.

The currently filed bills will only raise the sales tax in Pitt County, but do you think for a moment other counties will sit by and let Pitt County have the highest sales tax in the state? Currently Mecklenburg County is quite proud to have a higher sales tax than the rest of the state. When this bill passes, Pitt County's sales taxes will exceed Mecklenburg's. I expect to see a bill filed immediately allowing Mecklenburg to raise their sales tax by an additional 1% -- there's no way the scum politicians in Mecklenburg will allow any other county to collect more taxes than they!

Worse, when the sales tax increase is complete, all the Democrats will actually claim they didn't raise taxes! Seriously! When the sales tax in Mecklenburg changes from 7.5% to 8.5%, every single Democrat in the General Assembly who voted for the tax increase will say, "Oh, we didn't increase the tax, we just did what the county asked, and we gave them permission to raise the tax."

At the same time, the slimeballs county officials will all say, "No, we didn't raise the taxes, we had to because the general assembly forced us to." And when campaign season comes, watch every last one of them claim with a straight face that they didn't vote to raise taxes.

What a pile a damn liars.
