Russia Powerful: Democrats Rejoice

Russia has announced that they have a new, powerful missile that can carry an unknown number of warheads that can strike anywhere in America -- and that current American defenses have no chance of stopping that missile.

Democrats are rejoicing.

Why? Not because they hate America -- but because they don't like America being the world's lone superpower. They honestly want to be less than, or equal to, every other country in the world. That is their view of the world -- they honestly believe that every single culture, every society, can be completely and totally equal to one another.

So when they hear that someone has developed something that makes America NOT be the most powerful, they're happy, because that's their goal. Of course, what never enters into their reality is the fact that there are some cultures and some people who are just plain evil -- and would rather be SUPERIOR to the United States. When the day comes that a society attacks America, the left is confused. They can only explain the attacks are because America is evil, when in reality, the other countries are evil.

Lefties will rejoice -- all the way to their deathbeds. They will fight for equality of outcome, never understanding that the rest of the world doesn't share their wide-eyed naivety.

On Memorial Day, Part II

This is a follow-up to the first post below, "On Memorial Day."

The time is now 12:00 noon (Eastern Daylight Time). Do you know what is supposed to happen all around the country at this time? The American Flag is supposed to be raised to it's full height. Yes, all morning flags were to be flying at half-mast. They were flying there to remind us of those who died trying to secure freedom for this once-great country called America. But now the flag should fly high -- to remember that those people did not die in vain.

This is a day of remembrance. 3:00 local time is officially the time for the National Moment of Remembrance. Take some time out of your day, even if it's only to play "Taps" one time.

Remember today all those who have gone before. And perhaps consider doing something yourself so that those deaths will not have been for nothing.

On Memorial Day

half-staff.jpgToday is Memorial Day. For most, this is a day of grilling outside, taking a day off, and it's the official start of summer. Of course, there's much more to Memorial Day -- a day set aside to honor those who died in the service of America. It's a day to remember those who gave their lives for freedom. However, today, I think it is a time to apologize.

I think we owe an apology to those who died in the American Revolution. Those brave men died for freedom. They died to sever the chains of oppression set in place by King George -- those same oppressions we allow those in Washington, DC to place back upon our legs. They died so that men could be free. But we refuse to accept the responsibility of freedom, instead preferring to trust government to tend to our every need.

We should apologize to those who fought in the Barbary Wars against the spread of radical Islam. Those men died in the name of freedom from religious oppression. Those men fought and died so that the religion of Islam could not spread their hatred and slavery across the world. But now we encourage this religion in the name of "diversity" while it continues to destroy freedom and kill any who disagree.

We should apologize to those who fought and died in the American Civil War. This war took the most American lives. This was a battle for freedom and independence. The men who fought for the south wanted states to be free. Those in the north wanted to retain centralized power over the country. All died in vain as today we are controlled and led by a small group of powerful people in Washington.

We should apolotize to those who fought and died in World War I. They fought for good and freedom. They fought to stop uncontrolled piracy and aggression from hostile leaders and countries. Today we appease any hostile, evil leaders with kind words and shipments of oil and technology.

We should apologize to those who fought and died in World War II. Those brave men fought for freedom and against the Nazi and Japanese tyrants who would have imposed their will on the world, in opposition to freedom. But today we support those who hate freedom and actively work through Washington to take away freedoms any time they don't like them.

We should apologize to every person who has died over the years for freedom -- because we sit back today and simply refuse to continue to work to preserve freedom. The reason so many people have died over the years is because freedom has a cost. Freedom requires work. Today we refuse to do anything to support our own freedoms and therefore lose them quickly.

As Jefferson said, "The tree of liberty needs to be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." Over the years of existence of this once-great republic, many have given their own blood to refresh that tree. But today, despite the efforts of many in Iraq and other places around the world, that tree is dying -- because so many people simply do not care.

To all who have fought and died for freedom and for America, I am sorry.

Equal Justice?

I think I understand now. The United States justice system is not blind. There is no such thing as "equal justice under the law." Instead, some laws shall be enforced only when the government decides they don't like the person or ideas of the "guilty:"

Saying, "God Hates Fags" is a VERY serious crime. This is a crime so bad, it shall be deemed to be a felony, the most serious type of crime. And if a 16-year old says it because they're mad, that's SO serious that they won't even be allowed bail. Violent rapists get bail, but not immature children who DARE to say anything bad against the protected class of "faggot." And this was done by children who simply were immature and not thinking -- likely without any serious hatred.

At the same time, saying that Catholics are all gay is perfectly okay. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. No government agency cares one bit because that's not a personal insult to a protected class, instead, it's making fun of those the government does not happen to like this week. And this was done by someone who is filly with animosity and a record of actual hatred towards religion -- to a national audience.

There shall be no justice in America today.

R.I.P. America

In loving memory...

The United States of America
1775-2007

It was good while it lasted. Too bad it's over.

Every great country must come to an end. In man's history, the average age of a great civilization is about 200 years. America made it a bit longer, but now it's time has come as well.

Now I don't mean to say that overnight the place will suddenly cease to exist. However, the America that was created over 200 years ago is completely gone now. It's been on a decline for some time, and this really is it. I remember well the celebrations of 1976 (though I was quite young) -- and I would be willing to be there will be no celebration in 2076. The country has died.

I do not write this lightly, nor without great thought. I do not write this with joy or sarcasm. I write this, fervently believing that it is true, despite the rejections and declarations of many.

There were brief rays of hope that paused the decline of freedom and liberty. Ronald Reagan, from 1980-1988 worked hard and tirelessly to stop oppression and really gave hope to a lot of people. He renewed faith in America and in it's people. But that was just an upward blip on the steady decline of the country. Under the leadership of Newt Gingrich, there was another upward tick for just a short time in 1994. This blip was smaller than the 80s, and shorter. But with the passage of global amnesty, the decline is complete. There is no hope for America.

Now I'm not saying I'm hopeless. I'm not feeling personally bad. But there is no hope for America today. America was built on a strong Christian work ethic. America was a great country once. It was built on rugged individualism -- people worked hard and knew hard work would be rewarded. America was truly a shining light on a hill -- a beacon of freedom around the world. America defeated Communism. America defeated Hitler and Nazi Germany when they wanted to rule the world. America had a real identity, and the whole world knew it. But that is to be no more.

America was founded as a Representative Republic. It was a nation of laws. It was a government "for the people" and "by the people." But it is no longer. The vast majority of Americans are strongly opposed to the actions of the Senate -- but the Senators simply don't care. The Senate is an elite group that does not care about people, only about themselves and expanding their personal government. Laws used to apply to everyone equally. No longer. A close look at the bill that passed the Senate shows that the government will apply laws as they see fit to whomever and whenever the current government office holders decide. Justice is no longer blind.

America was based on freedom. People were free to associate with one another. People were free to worship as they saw fit. People were free to elect representatives -- and remove them when they saw fit. But this is no longer the case. Government, through unelected bureaucrats, micromanages every single aspect of everyone's life. Go ahead, try and associate with people who the government doesn't like -- you can and will be arrested. You will be declared a "domestic terrorist" if you dare disagree with the government. And if you mention the Bible and attempt to tell people about your religion at the wrong time, you will be arrested and charged with a hate crime. Just try and elect someone else if you don't like it -- here in North Carolina, you can only be elected if the current officeholders permit you to be. There are no free and fair elections.

America used to be the biggest economic engine in the world. That engine was based on the free market and free enterprise. No longer is this the case. Go ahead, try and do anything related to economics without asking government permission. Create something in your garage and attempt to trade it to someone else who wants it -- if you do, you will be breaking "the law." Government today, and more so with the current "immigration" bill, picks the winners and losers economically. Government gives taxpayer money to businesses they like and withholds it from businesses they don't. Government regulations are used to protect big money donor businesses from competition from start-ups.

America had a national identity. Everyone in the world knew that. Americans worked hard. Americans spoke English. Americans had unalienable rights that government could not take away. Americans were different and unique. No longer is that the case. With this bill, as many as 150 million new "citizens" will be created, citizens that care nothing for the rich history of the country called "The United States of America." This will completely and forever alter the landscape and culture of this country.

America was indeed a great country. It gave freedom and capitalism a chance -- and it worked for a short time. But today it's gone. There is no economic freedom. There is no representation. There is only oppressive government that is continuing to get more oppressive. I am sure many will disagree with me. A majority of people will continue going about their life, not knowing anything has changed -- and not caring. As long as little Johnny gets to soccer practice on time, all is well in the world.

Some will notice and will continue to fight. That is good. However, these fighters really are now Don Quixotes. It has ended. Good, right, and freedom simply cannot win by staying within the bounds of the current system. I know, for I have battled long and hard to fix the system. It's not going to happen. Freedom will no longer appear in this country -- not as long as the current system of government reins.

America is dead. It will just take people some time to notice.

I started this blog years ago with the hope of advancing freedom. I honestly believed that I could help promote freedom inside the current system. I really believed that the current system was broken, but that it could be fixed. I thought I could work within the system and help repair it. I was wrong.

This system of government is literally beyond repair. Go ahead, continue working within the system -- but do not expect to actually make a difference. America the free simply does not exist any more, no matter how you might feel. That will likely offend some people. I'm sorry that the truth offends you.

I'm not giving up -- far from it. I am, however, very tired. I'm tired of fighting around every turn. I'm tired of battling every single day to try and convince people to allow me to have my own freedom. I'm so tired of trying to get people elected that simply become part of the system. I'm tired of beating my head against the wall, knowing that while I might get one small victory for freedom; ten other losses happened at the same time. I am giving up on the current system. Freedom simply cannot win any more.

I will continue to fight for freedom -- but only from outside the system. It does no good to attempt to obey laws when they will be applied only arbitrarily. Of what value is it to play by the rules when the rules can and are changed on the whim of an unelected government bureaucrat who is only concerned with power and control and "doing their job?" What benefit is there to voting for the lesser of two evils when one choice is 100% anti-freedom and the other option is 98% anti-freedom?

America, you were indeed a great country. You had rich traditions, a wonderful culture, and truly showed the world that freedom is a great thing. I can only hope that in my lifetime a place will arise where freedom will once again be welcome. However, the last time the battle for freedom took about 25,000 lives -- about 1% of the population. 1% of the current population of the United States is 3,000,000.

I would like to say that it hasn't reached that point, but it already has. The only question remaining is how long people will continue to reject freedom. Once people decide they want freedom again, unfortunately, it will only be regained with bloodshed.

America, Land of the Free, Home of the Brave. R.I.P.

Peaceful Resistence

It's happening more and more these days. People are resorting to more acts of resistence to the US government. But the government isn't getting the hint. This country keeps moving downhill.

Idaho Judges' Intelligence

Wow. All I can say is "Wow."

This story hasn't really been big news, but it should be absolutely HUGE. In case you're too lazy to follow the link, here's a tiny, brief summary: Those who are running to be on the SUPREME COURT in Idaho either have zero knowledge of the Idaho Constitution; or they will absolutely refuse to admit that it exists. There is no other possible explanation.

How can this not be giant news? Seriously, this should rate top ranking headlines across the nation. This country is supposed to be built upon a system of government that requires checks and balances -- and the Supreme Court of Idaho is going to completely ignore that entire system of government!

Unfortunately, this is what the judicial system has really become in America -- a ruling class, all it's own, that follows it's own rules whenever it wants to. Judges are supposed to ONLY determine if laws agree or disagree with the Constitution -- but the Supreme Court in Idaho isn't going to do that. Instead, they are just going to, quite literally, do anything they want. After all, they don't have to answer to anyone.

Perhaps it's time to abolish the current form of government -- a cross between communism and an oligarchy -- and start a new government. I've heard representative republics can work well for freedom -- at least for a little while.

Responsibility Conflicts

I was watching the hit show "24" last night. There was one scene that really highlighted some rather conflicting values of this country (The United States) today. Imagine, if you can, viewing the overall values and morals of this country as a whole. Imagine you are a visitor (or a child) trying to determine what it means to be a citizen of this country and determine what where it's values lie.

The scene was that where the kid was lamenting about his father's actions. For those who don't watch that show, his father was responsible for getting information to terrorists that enabled them to obtain and detonate a nuclear bomb in California. Over 12,000 people were killed. The son said, "I wish I'd never been born." He was associating his father's actions with his own -- he was taking some responsibility for at least part of his father's actions.

So, should he have? Are we responsible for the actions of others?

In the past, that was certainly the case. Entire families were held responsible for the actions of any member of that family. But is that the case today? Are parents held responsible for the actions of their children? When someone commits a crime, are their parents contacted? Certainly not. Heck, even in the case of minors at schools, parents are not held responsible. In some cases where that has been tried, there has been outrage!

But at the same time, what does it mean when government "apologizes" for actions of others in the past? Various governments and corporations in recent years and months have issued "apologies" for slavery -- despite any members of those bodies actually being involved in slavery EVER. So they are taking responsibility for things that they are NOT responsible for, nor ever have been.

At the same time, we also have government taking over the responsibility for the actions of, well, everyone. If you choose to not have health insurance, government will gladly provide it for you. If you do not have "enough" money, government will give you more. So you certainly have the option of not being responsible at ALL in this society and there are zero repercussions for that.

So where does that leave us today?

As a general society, we have apparently decided to allow no one to be responsible for anything -- and at the same time hold everyone responsible for everything -- but only in a corporate manner. So individual responsibility simply does not exist. If you choose to be individually responsible, today you are a rebel. You are at odds with the vast majority of the current society, whether you want to be or not.

Instead, today's society has relegated all responsibility to government -- even if that government is claimed to be "by the people." As a result, YOU, personally, are not responsible for anything. If you attempt to be responsible for your own actions, government may permit you to, or it may stop you. Clearly, individual responsibility is a concept that has disappeared from America, whether you want it to or not.

Bush: National Day of Prayer

President Bush on the National Day of Prayer:

A Proclamation by the President of the United States of America

RSS Feed White House News

A prayerful spirit has always been an important part of our national character, and it is a force that has guided the American people, given us strength, and sustained us in moments of joy and in times of challenge. On this National Day of Prayer, we acknowledge God's grace and ask for His continued guidance in the life of our Nation.

Americans of many faiths and traditions share a common belief that God hears the prayers of His children and shows grace to those who seek Him. Following the tragedy at Virginia Tech, in towns all across America, in houses of worship from every faith, Americans have joined together to pray for the lives that were lost and for their families, friends, and loved ones. We hold the victims in our hearts and pray for those who suffer and grieve. There is a power in these prayers, and we can find comfort in the grace and guidance of a loving God.

At this important time in our history, we also pray for the brave members of our Armed Forces and their families. We pray for their safety, for the recovery of the wounded, and for the peace we all seek.

The Congress, by Public Law 100-307, as amended, has called on our Nation to reaffirm the role of prayer in our society and to respect the freedom of religion by recognizing each year a "National Day of Prayer."

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim May 3, 2007, as a National Day of Prayer. I ask the citizens of our Nation to give thanks, each according to his or her own faith, for the freedoms and blessings we have received and for God's continued guidance, comfort, and protection. I invite all Americans to join in observing this day with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twentieth day of April, in the year of our Lord two thousand seven, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-first.

GEORGE W. BUSH
