Another socialist has decided that he wants to represent the people of North Carolina in the NC Legislature (as if there's not already enough socialists there). Ronnie Griffin has announced that he wants the district 11 seat from Republican Louis Pate.

This alleged Democrat is once again claiming that he is qualified for the legislature because he has military experience. Now don't get me wrong, I have nothing but tremendous respect for military people -- especially someone who reached the rank of Brigadier General! But that doesn't automatically make one a good politician.

Mr. Griffin does not want to reduce spending anywhere. He does not want to cut taxes. He wants to increase spending to schools via the lottery. He wants 100% socialized medicine, paid for by everyone else in the state except those who will benefit from it, including mental health.

Of course he got the endorsement of the Lt. Governor -- another Democrat -- because he's right on the Democrat platform -- more government, more spending. If he's elected, I'm sure he'll join them completely and will vote to raise taxes to pay for his extra spending, even if he won't admit it now.
