Stop the ACLU
Crossposted from
Stop The ACLU
Via the ACLU we find out the U.S. government is finally being proactive against the ACLU in protecting classified information from being leaked for our enemies to know.
The American Civil Liberties Union today announced that it has asked a federal judge to quash a grand jury subpoena demanding that it turn over to the FBI "any and all copies" of a December 2005 government document in its possession.
The ACLU called the subpoena, served on November 20 by the U.S. Attorney's office in New York, a transparent attempt to intimidate government critics and suppress informed criticism and reporting.
"The government's attempt to suppress information using the grand jury process is truly chilling and is unprecedented in law and in the ACLU's history," said ACLU Executive Director Anthony D. Romero. "This subpoena serves no legitimate investigative purpose and tramples on fundamental First Amendment rights. We recognize this maneuver for what it is: a patent attempt to intimidate and impede the work of human rights advocates like the ACLU who seek to expose government wrongdoing."
The three-and-a-half page document, issued in December 2005, is marked "Secret" and apparently is classified. The ACLU received the document, unsolicited, on October 23, 2006.

National Demcrats: SPEND MONEY!
Well it seems the Democrats are running around, touting their agenda for the next year. Not surprising to anyone who knows what Democrats stand for, one of their top items is to spend BILLIONS and BILLIONS "for the children." They want to
give away tens of billions in free college money. After all, according to Democrats, everyone has a government-given RIGHT to a college degree.
You there, peon, keep working now because although they and their pals in the press seem to forget, in order for government to give away billions, they first have to take away from someone who actually worked for it. Yup, that's you and I. Get ready for the massive tax increases in 2007. The state of NC is likely to add a billion or so, the city of Charlotte is looking at a few hundred million, and the federal government is going to need at least $100 billion more.
Well, those of you who voted Democrat, this is what you get. Back to work, slave. The government needs more.

Bureaucrats want MORE Criminals
Yes, folks, the members of the North Carolina Child Fatality Task Force
want to make more criminals. That seems to be their purpose. This task force is actually encouraging the NC Legislature to throw you in jail for 5 years if your child is in your car out a car seat -- even for a second.
Currently it is legal for a person in a motor vehicle to see to a child's needs and take them out of the car seat -- for example, in the back of a van if something falls underneath a child, you can pick the child up and then put them back. Under the new proposed laws, you will go to jail for at least 5 years if you do that.
What should the laws be? There should be zero laws forcing people to use child seats, period. They're stupid, anti-freedom laws. In fact, in all likelihood, these proposed laws won't be passed because it has the potential to reduce revenue to the state -- because that's the primary purpose of the child-seat laws to begin with.
What's really sad is that the primary discussion about this law will be the financial impact on the state -- rather than what government should care about: freedom.

Fair Taxes
Why our Political Leaders Should Embrace the FairTax Plan
by John DeJong of NotMeUSA.com
The Fair Tax Plan (HR.25/S.25) has been out for well over a year now and yet there are still many people who have never even heard of it. One would think that a plan as bold and beneficial as this would be sounded from one coast to the next. Yet that is not the case. As a point of fact there are many liberal political leaders who continually ridicule the Fair Tax Plan whenever it is mentioned. They’re acting under the misguided belief that this wonderful plan favors the “rich”. That is the farthest from the truth as one can come.

That sounds fair to me. Instead of taking all our money and then pretending to give it back to the poor with social welfare programs, why can't we all just keep a larger share of our money? What about the flat tax?

In the minds of government, ANYTHING that keep money from the government isn't fair. Today, in the United States, the sole, overriding, and primary purpose of all governments is to obtain money from working people. It's really sad, but that IS their reason for existing today.

McCain Shows His Ignorance
Well, Senator McCain has decided to show how clueless he is when it comes to technology. He's authored a bill that
will require sex offenders to register their email addresses, somehow actually believing that this will have some affect on something -- other than, of course, costing the government piles of cash. Apparently McCain doesn't realize that email addresses can be obtained and used at will, changing them as often as one wants.
Government, stay the hell out of things that you don't understand. And yes, that's pretty much everything. Morons, the lot of them.

Whiny Criminals

Well it seems
the news is that more illegal alien criminal invaders are whining that their parents are being taken away. The one holding this sign is 26 years old. She's complaining about the Swift and Co Processing plants that hired criminals who had broken immigration laws and committed fraud. So they whine that these criminals shouldn't be arrested because it's Christmas. Well, I have a sign for these people:

Michelle Malkin correctly notes that nothing will be done to these criminals -- the employees or the employer.

I think anyone that has their identity stolen should be allowed to shoot the thief with no penalty. Ruin my life and I'll surely ruin yours if I find out who you are. That's a promise, not a threat.
As the man in the old gangster movie said, killing the person who wronged you doen't hurt them. Find out who they love most in the world and kill them and let the idiot know why you did it. That will hurt them.
Sounds fair to me.

More Government Giveaways
Now Robeson County, NC, has
given away some of it's spare cash (about $38,000) because apparently the county has too much cash. But oh, don't worry, they're not alone -- that's only one small part of $6.5 million in taxpayer money that was given away to people who wanted it.
Yes, folks, when you read next year about the tax increases across the state -- at the city, county, and state level because they simply don't have enough, keep in mind they gave Robeson Little Theatre $1,800. Why? Because they wanted it, not because they earned it, or because any citizens wanted to give them the money. American Indians Mothers, Inc. got $2,000 of cash that you worked for. How long did you have to work to earn $2,000? The American Indian Mothers didn't work at all, they just put their hand out and government threw money at them.
Oh, how I yearn for freedom.

Bush's Poll Numbers
The
big news is that "USA is more pessimistic on Iraq war." They're reporting that fewer than 1 in 5 people trust Bush to do the right thing in Iraq (and EVEN LESS believe the Democrats in Congress will do the right thing).
That tell me that I'm not in the minority. If most people wanted to follow the Democrat path to complete and total surrender and Dhimmitude, there would be much confidence in Supreme Ruler Pelosi -- since there is not, the only logical conclusion that can be drawn is that the majority are with me in my thinking:
America, acting alone and with overwhelming force, must destroy the Iranian Islamic State now.
We just have no confidence that either Bush or the Democrats will do what truly needs to be done.

Guard the Borders
Going By The Numbers
by Nancy Matthis
Understanding the impact of illegal immigration does not depend on accepting partisan opinions. It is just the result of doing some simple math.
In a previous article, Illegals Deadlier Than War On Terror, we compared the numbers of United States citizens killed by illegal aliens to the tally of our troops killed in the war on terror. In response to that article, one of our readers wrote asking whether we had seen the video produced by NumbersUSA titled Immigration by the Numbers. He asked, “I wonder how accurate it is?”
This widely distributed video uses gumballs in a jar to visually demonstrate the impact of numbers that increase exponentially rather than linearly. These are mathematical concepts that are immediately meaningful to folk with a technical background, but may be harder to understand for others. The answer to our readerÂ’s question is that the video IS accurate. It is not based on partisan opinion. It is just a very graphic illustration of an algebraic equation.
You can view a clip from the video here. Roy Beck of NumbersUSA is not depending on any esoteric data. HeÂ’s just doing the math, based on the US Census numbers, which actually grossly UNDERESTIMATE the number of illegals in the United States.

NC State and Local Fiscal Modernization Study Commission
Wonderful. The solution to all the world's problems are just a committee meeting away. You see the newest NC state commission is going to meet soon. And they're going to solve all the financial problems of the state. This committee is meeting to determine if they will
overhaul the entire fiscal structure of the state. According to bureaucrats, the state's fiscal structure was built on a agricultural society and since that has changed, so must the state. But watch for the part that shows freedom doesn't have a chance in this state:
Economists say an overhaul is needed or else the General Assembly will have to keep raiding trust funds and raising taxes to balance the state budget. Local governments argue that they'll have to keep driving up property taxes to pay for Medicaid, transportation and school construction needs.
In other words, there's absolutely no concept of fiscal discipline in NC state government. No one will ever consider for a second the actual freedom-based solution: STOP SPENDING MONEY! I know I'm living in a fantasy-world -- but hey, this is the only place I can find freedom these days.

Sgt. Major Joke
Everyone needs a smile in the afternoon.
An architect, an artist and a Sergeant Major were discussing whether it was better to spend time with the wife or a mistress. The architect said he enjoyed time with his wife, building a solid foundation for an enduring relationship. The artist said he enjoyed time with his mistress, because of the passion and mystery he found there. The Sergeant Major said, "I like both." "Both?" Sergeant Major, "Yeah. If you have a wife and a mistress, they will each assume you are spending time with the other woman, and you can go to the shop and get some work done."

English is Racist
If you are reading this (and haven't run it through a translator), then you ARE racist. That is, according to
Union Thug and Austin Council Member Mike Martinez.
I was concerned about the potential legality of such a policy and what prompted a department director to move in a policy direction that could be viewed as potentially racist.
What policy? Oh, one that would require employees to speak and write in English. But hey, everyone, now, who speaks English is racist. Who are we to actually want to communicate with people in English? According to Mr. Martinez, everyone should be able to speak in whatever language they want (as long as it's not English), and it's up to everyone ELSE to figure out how to communicate with them.

Charlotte Housing: NO Freedom
It used to be, once upon a time, a long time ago, a man's home was his castle. In fact, that's one of the primary ideas upon which this country was founded: that people should have the freedom to own property. Over the past 100 years, however, that freedom has been quickly eroded and destroyed. Now the Charlotte City Council is working to do all they can to completely eradicate all traces of property rights in Charlotte.
Today the Charlotte City Council will meet to discuss whether people are living with the "correct" quality of life. They appear to be ready to pass a new ordinance that will put you in jail if you fail to have their property decreed quality of life. In their minds, this means that if you have too many people living in a certain arbitrary square footage area, you should be jailed.
What is the proper, freedom-based solution? To let people live their lives how they want to without government interference. If it's not directly affecting other people, why should the government get involved at all? Because Charlotte City government is interested in communism, not freedom.

Problem? NC Government will pay
The State of North Carolina has a literally endless supply of cash. Well, that's the view of the Democrats and their allies at the Charlotte Observer. They honestly believe that anything that can be called a problem, even if it's not really a problem, can be solved by throwing enormous piles of government cash at it.
This time, the Observer wants to throw $10 million in taxpayer cash to "help hog farmers switch from lagoons to environmentally sound methods of waste." Of course, there's little, if any, details given as to WHY they should switch, other than the Observer thinks it "sounds like trouble."
As usual with the left, there is zero consideration to the other unintended consequences to this sort of action. They don't care that the farmers might not be able to afford to RUN these new procedures. They don't care that the price of all products from these farms will have to go up to pay for this forced action. They don't care that many farmers might be forced out of business because of this. They don't care about the hundreds and hundreds of hours the working man will have to work to PAY for this, against his will.
In short, the left does not care about anything other than themselves and getting what they want. When I was younger, I was told that was the definition of a selfish brat. Welcome to today's NC Democrat Party.

No Substitute for Victory
America, acting alone and with overwhelming force, must destroy the Iranian Islamic State now
Wow. How would you like the President of the United States to speak those words now? Go ahead, call me a warmonger, "neo-con" (as if you know what that is), or other names that you like. Then, think about it.
Euphoric Reality points out an essay by John Lewis in which he very clearly outlines and describes the two times that America has been attacked in the last hundred years. He outlines the two possible responses to being attacked and clearly illustrates the results from the two possible responses.
As he so well points out, right now Islam is winning around the world. There is only one possible response to their actions and only one thing that will stop the terrorists around the world. Anything else (like what we're doing now) is worse than doing nothing. It's a long read, but very detailed and logical. Take a peek.
And I'm not alone with my support of a REAL war, instead of this namby-pamby crap we're "waging" now.

Islam isn't a religion..it's a cult and it must be destroyed or controlled at all costs. Because it will kill everyone else if we let it.

Political Critic, what we're doing now is NOT a war. I'm talking about all-out, destruction, kill people and break things war -- destroy until there is no state-sponsored religion. If they won't yield, they die. It really is that simple. It's a matter of preserving freedom in the world today and that honestly is the only option.

4-year old Sexual Harasser?
Someone PLEASE tell me
this is a joke. It sure looks like a real website but it's GOT to be fake, right?
The prinicipal of La Vega Primary School sent a letter to the Blackwells that said the pre-kindergartener demonstrated "inappropriate physical behavior interpreted as sexual contact and/or sexual harassment."
So, according to this principal, he's having problems with a FOUR year old being a sexual harasser. And the principal can say that with a straight face? Really?
After complaining to the moron principal, the supreme powers government school officials agreed that the 4-year old wasn't a sexual predator. And yes, it actually took a complaint for the absolute fool principle to remove the references -- but he's leaving on the kid's "permanent record" that he is guilty of "inappropriate physical touching."
What a complete and total load of you-know-what. Yes, it's just another reason to keep your children far, far away from any school that is run by government. They are utterly and completely incompetent at doing ANYTHING other than spending money. They can't educate, and they're utterly incapable of common sense.

I kinda miss the good old days when "sexual harrassment" only referred to a male boss saying to a female underling "sleep with me or you're fired".

Wait. You mean I'm not allowed to do that now?

Couldn't agree with you more, but your impact will be greater if you spell "principal" correctly throughout your comments.

Damn that copy and paste. No, wait, it's the Mexican spelling. And who are you to decide what's right and wrong? It's right if I think it's right -- so sayeth the government education system.
