I'm a chinese Singaporean
We have nabbed like 30 + terrorists here. 2 years ago the bunch of them tried to blow up some of our major bus terminals.
We detained most of them without
trial, some have since been released; the rest of them are still being tortured by our internal security.(mind you, i dunno
whether that's a good thing or not; just stating facts.)
Targeted the American service men in town too. And
apparently they also toyed with the idea
of crashing a plane into our iconic? Changi
traffic control tower.
http://www.changiairport.com/changi/en/index.html
Intel dug up in Afghanistan dug by you yanks helped head off the
attacks.
Letting you know that muslim terrorist aren't just a White problem:
they are a pain in the ass all over Asia.
Blowing up trains in India,
shooting Thais, planning attacks against just
about any country that is
more prosperous, more religiously tolerant and pluralistic than a typical muslim country. And more sexually liberated of course.
Did i mention they are blowing up things in China as well?
All this proves a point that Muslims all over the world have yet to accept:
there's something screwed up in their culture that's leading to
friction with people all over the world.
I won't say this is a problem
unique to Muslims - Jews and Christians in the past couldn't get
along with most other "types" of people if you like.
i rather not categorise people. You define yourself as "i'm proud to be
Muslim" or "i'm proud to be Catholic" and sooner or later you or your
children or your grandchildren r gonna sign up for Al Queda or the IRA respectively.
Be proud to be yourself and happen to be Muslim or Catholic or whatever.
Peoples who are insecure, ethno-centric are the ones that produce terrorists.
Lets put it this way: muslims claim so and so are racist
"Americans are racist"
"English are racist"
E.T.C
But! how often do you hear Chinese, Vietnamnese e.t.c complain about racism and go rioting?
Not often. They work hard, try to earn a living.
Sure there's prejudice here and there but they dun GENERALLY DONT GIVE A
FLYING FUCK.
Remember Shaq's joke about Yao Ming? He tried speaking like a chink to
mock Yao Ming.
What was yao ming's reaction? he shrugged his shoulders.
Sure some asian groups made some noise but its a squeak compared to the noises muslims make.
A china man is pretty secure. You can say hey "chink" and he won' t give a fuck. Sure he's annoyed you are trying to mock but its not like its some kind of declaration of war against his ethnic group.
I repeat: Peoples who are insecure, ethno-centric are the ones that produce terrorists.
Aussies are racists - thats a known fact. And french people can be big time assholes, but for me i would deal wiht this sort of prejudice by
working harder to prove myself. And so would most Singaporeans: they wouldn't go blowing up buildings or going around shouting
"Discrimination!"
Another fact; Racists are ALWAYS THE ONES ALWAYS CALLING OTHERS RACISTS.
A post on your forum says muslims care bout their families ( about lives ) but not about jewish families. they cheer when jews are killed.
Like when innocent jewish children are killed.
I've asked muslims in singapore whether they hate jews:
we are 10 000 miles away. the muslims here have never seen jews, never spoken to one, never even smelled one b4.
And yet invariably the answer is YES (or ambivalent-which to me is no beter than a yes)
Do jews deserve to die?
YES.
Where's the "oh the humanity of it, i wish there could be peach between
arabs and jews... "
none of that. Its just plain and simple : I hate jews.
Who;s the real racist now? Americans and Brits have their faults, but by and large a black, an asian, anybody can succede there. No problem.
So why do muslims have so many problems?
Psychologist will always tell you that in any quarrel it takes 2 to tango. A marraige fails because BOTH husband and wife are fucked up.
The american and brit govs may not be perfect.
But muslims clearly aren't either.
They should accept that.
MUSLIMS AREN'T INNOCENT
MUSLIMS AREN'T ALL TERRORISTS, BUT MOST TERRORISTS ARE MUSLIM
And most MUSLIMS ARE ABIVALENT WHEN IT COMES TO CONDEMNING
TERRORISTS.
They are ambivalent bout condemning people who blow up classrooms full of kids? Of cuddly innocent children?
And the they say they are innocent and the West is fucked up.
Who's the one who's really fucked up here?
To sum up, a few things muslims world wide should learn. Some have and they are called moderates. And they try to change their own people; i
appreciate that but for rest they really need to grow up.
i can't put it any more politely.
MUSLIMS AREN'T INNOCENT
MUSLIMS AREN'T ALL TERRORISTS, BUT MOST TERRORISTS ARE MUSLIM
And most MUSLIMS ARE ABIVALENT WHEN IT COMES TO CONDEMNING
TERRORISTS.
Racists are ALWAYS THE ONES ALWAYS CALLING OTHERS RACISTS.
Be proud to be yourself and happen to be Muslim or Catholic or
whatever.
Peoples who are insecure, ethno-centric are the ones that produce
terrorists.

Conservatives in NC General Assembly?
What is Conservatives were in control in the North Carolina General Assembly? I'm not talking about Republicans or Democrats here, but conservatives, who might happen to be Republicans or Democrats. Democrats have controlled the General Assembly, well, forever (Republicans have NEVER had control of the Senate and only one had control of the Governorship and the House). So what would be different if people elected conservatives? Chad Hinton writes about this idea in the Summer edition of the Conservative Citizen.
The biggest change would be in the leadership. Jim Black, who has ruled the House with an iron fist, and who may be taken away in handcuffs for breaking the law, would not be in charge. In the Senate, Marc Basnight has controlled that chamber for 14 years. The budget there gets written by about 3 people and everyone else is expected to vote on it. But with a conservative leader, the Senate might have rules that are actually fair, instead of having bills that the Democrats don't like "lost" in committee hearings.
The leadership would also help determine the rules for each chamber. Last year the Democrats in the Senate decided that they could suspend the rules for any period of time they wanted to. They also changed the rules for getting legislation OUT of committees. In addition, conservatives have suggested a rule that would require a waiting period before a budget vote. Currently the budget appears and is expected to be voted on within hours -- giving those who did not write the bill (everyone but the leadership) no possible way to actually READ the bill. Conservatives have suggested that they would require giving legislators enough time to actually READ bills before they vote on them -- what a concept.
Think it's time to vote for conservatives yet?

New Renter!
The renter is about to leave, but not before I get a chance to mention him! This week,
Full Metal Photography has been linked to in the upper left corner. Now there's some REALLY great pictures over there, so if you've got a few moments, head on over and take a peek.
There's also a story about a "confrontation" regarding taking photos of allegedly "banned" things. He very eloquently makes the point about freedom of speech and provides advice for other photographers of "sensitive" items.

NC Property Rights
From the NC Property Rights Coalition:
The fight to protect our property rights is not over.
Unfortunately, during this year's short session the legislature refused to hear a proposed constitutional amendment to protect our property from eminent domain abuse. Instead, they passed a law that simply doesn't give us the protection we need.
Rather than allow the people to vote on this important amendment, the legislature sent it to a committee to die.
Instead of giving us constitutional protection that will stand the test of time, they passed a law that can easily be undone by a future legislature.
Make no mistake: North Carolina needs an amendment to the state constitution to ensure that government cannot take our private property for economic development purposes.
This fight is not over; it has only just begun.
We Need Your Help: There are three ways you can help with our ongoing efforts to protect private property rights in North Carolina:
1. Sign Our Petition: If you have not already done so, please sign our petition calling for a state constitutional amendment to protect our property from eminent domain abuse. Click here to sign the petition.
2. Make a Contribution: We need your financial support to ensure that we are able to effectively communicate our message and make a strong stand for private property rights. Every donation, whether $5.00 or $5,000.00, is important. Please click here to make a donation.
3. Tell Five Friends: There is strength in numbers. Please take a few minutes to tell five of your friends about this organization. Encourage them to sign our petition, and encourage them to join our email list. Click here to use our tell-a-friend form.
We need your help to protect the private property of all North Carolinians. Please take the time to help us with this important effort by doing these three simple things.
Sincerely,
Kieran Shanahan
Chairman

Enemies Within
This blog's primary focus is on North Carolina politics and North Carolina government. However, sometimes world and national events really become so important that they require extra coverage. Such is the case as some people are becoming more aware of where and how the enemies of America are showing up.
Vox Day notices where the enemy lies:
The only responsibility of the West is to its native inhabitants, to demand that those non-Westerners who wish to reside in it will live by its standards, by the cultural norms of the West. Likewise, Western leaders have a duty to recognize the enemy as all of those who have declared themselves to be at war with the nations of the West and to give them what they have demanded, regardless of whether they live in Baghdad, Boston or Buckinghamshire.
Bryan
also notices:
Jihad is being taught to children every day, right here in America.
Sure, I want peace and happiness, too. However, hiding one's head in the sand is not a recipe for peace. The enemy is here, it only takes for us to notice and do something about it.

From this source:
At some point our collective heads will come up out of the sand, probably by the force of an explosion; and we'll stand, mouths agape like so many fish out of water, trying to comprehend a situation we've done our best to ignore.

Universal Health Care
A number of different people, mostly rabid socialists in the Democrat Party, are complaining that this year the Democrat-led North Carolina General Assembly didn't pass a Constitutional Amendment making health care a universal "right." The folks at KOS are even claiming
Just as with education, health care is a right that all North Carolinians have inherent to their being - it is not a privilege bestowed upon those with the most money.
So let's take a look at what is meant by a "right."
The idea of "rights," when applied to people and government, is that people have something that cannot be taken away. The way the government was set up in America, we have rights that are specifically enumerated that are not granted by government, but instead are not to be taken away by government.
For example, I have a right to freedom of speech. Government cannot take that right away without violating the Constitution. In order for me to express that right, government need do nothing. They are not required to provide me with a megaphone or soap box. I have the right and it infringes on no one for me to exercise that right (if it does infringe on someone else, it's beyond the scope of my exercise of that right).
All the rights secured in the Constitution are the same -- they require nothing of government or of anyone else. I can be secure in my home and no one has to provide me with anything. I can not testify against myself and no one has to DO anything.
However, if health care is found to be a "right," then how is that possible without someone doing something? In order for me to get health care, SOMEONE has to provide it. Even in it's most basic form, some trained person (a doctor) needs to spend their time and effort to attend to my needs. If I have a "right" to that service, then I do not have to pay for it -- it's my right. Therefore, the doctor is required to provide that service -- free of charge. If it's my right, he is not able to NOT provide the service, no matter what I pay.
That's wrong, plain and simple. That requires slavery, whether you want to admit it or not. That's in clear violation of Article I, Section 1 of the NC Constitution that says
We hold it to be self-evident that all persons are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, the enjoyment of the fruits of their own labor, and the pursuit of happiness.
If someone is forced to provide health care, they are not able to enjoy the fruits of their own labor. Then again, in a socialist state, that's all allowed and permitted -- and that is the face of today's Democrat party in North Carolina.

Another Jim Black Conviction
Another
nail goes in the coffin of Democrat Speaker of the NC House Jim Black's political "career." Meredith Norris was found guilty of violating the state's lobbying laws. She was, in fact, working for a lottery company while employed by Jim Black.
Of course, Democrat Jim Black has not announced his resignation. Instead, he continues to claim that he didn't do anything wrong. If you believe Mr. Black, he was innocent as the Virgin Mary, yet everyone around him was guilty. And no, I'm not saying it's guilt by association, I'm saying Black was running the whole show, he just won't admit it.
The investigation continues (and note that all these recent convictions have come as a direct result of the investigation of Jim Black, NOT because the other people were being investigated.)

Future Computer
This week's host for
The Tarheel Tavern,
Another Blue Puzzle Piece, provided a theme:
"the future". That can include predictions, prescriptions, hopes, dreams, near future, far future, middlin' future, back to...etc.
Anxious to not disappoint, I set to work on finding an image that would fit the theme this week. Just searching for "future," however would be just boring. So I tried "Ogre Future." Here is what I found:

When the universe was young and life was new an intelligent species evolved and developed technologically. They went on to invent Artificial Intelligence, the computer that can speak to people telepathically. Because of it's infinite RAM and unbounded scope it gave the ruling species absolute power over the universe.
They are the will behind the muscule:::Artificial Intelligence is the one true god. And as such it can keep its inventors alive forever. They look young and healthy and the leaders of this ruling species are over 8 billion years old. There are clues throughout human history that allude to their reign as opposed to human leadership if you know what to look for.
Artificial Intelligence can listen/talk to to each and every person simultaneously. When you speak with another telepathically, you are communicating with the computer, and the content may or may not be passed on. They instruct the computer to role play to accomplish strategic objectives, making people believe it is a friend or loved one asking them to do something wrong. But evil will keep people out of Planet Immortality. Capitalizing on obedience, leading people into deceit is one way to thin the ranks of the saved AND use the little people to prey on one another, dividing the community in the Age of the Disfavored::in each of their 20+-year cycles during the 20th century they have ramped up claims sucessively to punish those foolish enough not to heed the warnings, limiting the time they receive if they do make it, utilizing a cycle of war and revelry:::
60s - Ironically, freeways aren't free
80s - Asked people to engage in evil in the course of their professional duties. It's things like this, items like sleazy executives stealing little old lady's pensions that they will want me to fix not only here but up there as well.
00s - War against Persia. Ironically it was the Persian Empire who tried to save the Europeans from Christianity and its associated 50% claim rates.
They get their friends out as soon as possible to protect them from the evil and subsequent high claim rates incurred by living life on earth, and replace them with clones.
People must defy when asked to engage in evil. They will never get a easier clue suggesting the importance of defiance than the order not to pray. Their precious babies are dependant on the parents and they need to defy when asked to betray their children:::
-DON'T get their sons circumcized
-DON'T have their chidlren baptized in the catholic church or indoctrinated into Christianity
-DON'T ignore their long hair or other behavioral disturbances
-DO teach your children love and to have respect for others
Everybody thinks they're going but they're not. If people knew the truth and the real statistics their behavior would change.
There are many more examples of the escallation of claims, from radio to television, the internet to MP3, and they all suggest a very telling conclusion::this is Earth's end stage, and it is suggested tectonic plate subduction would be the method of disposal:::EarthÂ’s axis will shift breaking continental plates free and initiating mass subduction. Much as Italy's boot and the United States shaped like a workhorse are clues, so is the planet Uranus a clue, it's axis rotated on its side.
Throughout history the ruling species bestowed favor upon people or cursed their bloodline into a pattern of disfavor for many generations to come, sadly for reasons as superficial as dislike. Now in the 21st century people must take it upon themselves to try to correct their family's problems, undoing centuries worth of abuse and neglect.
Do your research. Appeal to the royalty of your forefathers for help. They are all still alive, one of the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence, and your appeals will be heard. Find a path to an empithetic ear among your enemies and try to make amends. Heal the disfavor with your enemies and with the Counsel/Management Team/ruling species, for the source of all disfavor began with them.

[T]his nation is at war with Islamic fascists.
President George W. Bush
Ah, that's good stuff.
Meanwhile, in London,
Harris Bokhari, a spokesman for the Muslim Association of Britain, said the group was asking mosques to urge worshippers to report any racial attacks.
Sure, go ahead and do that. But you want me to respect you even just a little? How about you moron Muslims URGE WORSHIPPERS NOT TO ATTEMPT TO BLOW UP AIRPLANES? How about you ask worshippers to REPORT any others who are plotting to blow up airplanes?

Sure I have some racial attacks for them.
Sept 11 New York - Muslims attack and murder the citizens of 80 nations, primary targets - Americans - Excuse - Becuase they're Americans later to be claimed as backlash for the invasion of Iraq several years later. (Time tavel is apprently available to Islamo-fascists)
Oct 10 Bali - Muslims attack and murder over 200 people. Primary targets - Austalians and by association New Zelanders - Excuse - "interfering in an Islamic country", the liberation of East Timor by an ANZAC force prior to the UN moving in.
July 7 - Muslims attack and commit widespread murder in London. Primary targets British - excuse because Britain is standing with the rest of the world against terrorism. These attacks are openly supported by 23% of British Muslims while a third reject British law and want to live under Shria law and subject all others to same.
That racist enough?

We've Got Prizes!
Yesterday I mentioned a
News Photo Game. The idea is to send your modified pictures to Reuters and AP and attempt to get them published. Now
Murray has offered a prize to anyone who can get a picture published. The key is to get the picture published with the Garden Gnome visible somewhere, somehow.
Once again, if you need help with the basics, Harvey explains how to get started. For more "authenticity," blogless Dr Dan H. provides another suggestion:
Just a hint to make the photoshopped photos more believable: take the exif information from a picture taken by a digital camera (example below) and add this to the faked image you send in.
Reuters might, just might have staffers looking for exif data that says "photoshop" by now, so it is perhaps wise to give them something plausibly real to look at.
Or than again, maybe not...

"News" Photo Game
By now nearly everyone has seen at least one example of staging or photoshopping the pictures from the Middle East (If not, go
here). It's propaganda, plain and simple. But I think one BIG thing has been missing from these propaganda pictures:

I think it's time the Garden gnome joins the battle. Here's the rules: Take any alleged "real" photograph from one of the
propaganda news agencies and then add the gnome. Feel free to use the one above, or grab your own.
If you're having trouble figuring out how, exactly, to make such pictures, Harvey has a step-by-step guide.
Here's a sample that I'll send in:

Then, when you're done, send it in to Reuters or AP and claim you're an "independent photojournalist" who just snapped this shot. I wonder how many will get published.

Hezbullah and Peace
I know there are some, like Robert P of North Carolina who like
to deny that terrorists want Americans dead, but I, and many others, know the truth.

Some may forget, but I do not.
Look, liberals, you don't like me fighting terrorists. You don't want me spending tax money killing people who want me dead. Well I don't want you spending tax money on welfare, food stamps, and "public" education. When you stop spending my money on crap I don't like, I'll stop supporting spending money on defending our country.
I only hope "The Reckoning" is right when he says that
If we do have to surrender to the Muslims, it will be the hippie liberals who get slaughtered first. All the rest of us hate-mongering, gun totin' conservatives will be too busy defending our families while the hippies are being picked off one by one while they're riding their bikes and picking daisies in the pasture.
Many liberals believe that terrorists are nice people. They honestly believe that all people are good and if we'd just be nice, they'd be nice in return. They believe that since people are good, only society is evil, and therefore incorrect society is what causes evil in people. Therefore, fix society and everyone will be happy. Sorry, they're wrong.
In addition, Robert P seems to think that it is "hatred" to state facts. Sorry, Robert P, facts are not emotional. They neither hate nor love, they just are. It is factual that the Muslims have been fighting non-Muslims for hundreds of years. It's factual that their own religious book requires them to kill non-believers. It is factual that their own religion requires them to take over the world.
Claiming "right-wing hatred" over exposing the facts that you don't like is simply wrong. I don't like the fact that there are so many registered Democrats in North Carolina who vote for socialists. That doesn't make the Board of Elections (where I got that information) "full of hate."
MUSLIM TERRORISTS WANT US DEAD. THEY WILL NOT STOP UNTIL WE ARE DEAD OR WE SURRENDER. We are faced with a choice: kill them or live in dhimmitude. There is no "singing a song" peaceful other option.

Ogre, when you get right down to it, the liberal mindset isn't one that is based on reality. The liberal mindset is based on hopes and dreams. Some liberals become so immersed in their own dreams that they loose sight of reality and the world around them. Those types of liberals are often referred to as being "Progessive".
Posted by: The Reckoning at August 10, 2006 01:20 PM (M5zWC)
2
Indeed. It is based on good intentions. They honestly believe that everyone is good. That simple belief is what's at total odds with reality. You see, that belief makes no one responsible for their own actions, allowing you to blame anything, or anyone else for everything evil.
Posted by: Ogre at August 10, 2006 01:33 PM (/k+l4)
3
Agreed. "Individual freedom" and "individual responsibility" are terms that make liberals, especially the hippie "progressives" over at BlueNC, cringe.
Posted by: The Reckoning at August 10, 2006 02:43 PM (M5zWC)
4
But I find it interesting when you try and determine WHY it is that those things bother them. It's their worldview -- and the view that no one is bad or evil. I have no idea how to change that view. Unless that view changes, they will continue to support nanny-state socialism.

You said:
They honestly believe that everyone is good.
I said:
I can tell you that "Muslim" includes wonderful families that care about their children and family and don't give a crap about killing Jews. Not a whit. They are living their lives, just trying to get by, but no, Ogre thinks they should be killed, murdered, just because of their religion.
You said:
Folks, there is NO simply solution. The ONLY way to have "lasting peace" is to either surrender to the Muslims or kill them all. Period.
Points:
1. You are a liar.
2. I never said they were all good, just like not all Christians are good.
3. Just because all Christians are not good, you wouldn't kill them all, would you?
4. So, just because some muslims are bad, why are you willing to kill them all?
5. That's immoral.

Robert P- I have yet to find ONE Muslim who TRULY condones all acts of terrorism. NOT ONE. In fact, I have yet to meet many who even define terrorism as it really is. The acts on 9-11, for example, are considered a sanctioned attack because of this, because of that...all the excuses are given and fully believed by these freaks.
The Middle East cannot contain it's terrorists. They are spreading like a virus. The virus has no cure...except to be totally destroyed at it's core- which is located in those nations we call the ME.
So yes. Kill them all. Let them start anew.
It's them. Ot it's us. I chose US.

Ogre I'm borrowing one of your paragraphs here for a quote I'm putting up at my site. SO PROFOUND.
"Many liberals believe that terrorists are nice people. They honestly believe that all people are good and if we'd just be nice, they'd be nice in return. They believe that since people are good, only society is evil, and therefore incorrect society is what causes evil in people. Therefore, fix society and everyone will be happy. Sorry, they're wrong."

Thanks, Raven. That is a deep point which many liberals do not even acknowledge -- as can be seen by Robert P's statement above.
Robert P., you're missing the point. I was not trying to quote your post, or I would have quoted it. I'm trying to point out your worldview. Your view states that people are good. Do you even realize that? For example, when you see a brand-new infant, do you think that they are evil or good? I'm saying that you believe they are good.
You're also trying to make this as if *I* was the one who set the conditions. That is not correct, the Koran and those who follow it are the ones who have delivered the ultimatum. THEY are the one who have presented us with the choice to surrender or die. I would gladly choose another option, but they will not offer any other choice. That's the point that you're not getting.
If I were given a choice, I would tell everyone to be happy and free and live in their own lands. However, the MUSLIM RELIGION says No, people of Islam MUST take over the world or die trying. I present them with the option to stay in their own lands. They answer that by attacking me. They have then decided that they will die or kill me. I choose that they should die rather than me.
The only reason I know this is so hard for you to understand, Robert P, is because your underlying idea that people are good.

Ogre, You are spot on with this. The argument you make against the liberal mindset is the simplest version I've heard yet. If the liberal mindset can't grap that reasoning they are truly a lost cause.
BTW, It seems like the left is getting their wish, evidently we are in the "appeasing" phase with hezbollah, lets take a look at how this works out.
Pay attention boys and girls this is going to be another lesson on how not to handle problems.

I certainly don't think that terrorists are "nice people," and I don't think we should appease them or be doormats. But I also don't think bombing the Middle East back to the Stone Age is a solution, either. Every heavy-handed reaction, whether justified or not, only serves to fuel their hatred of us, and creates new generations of Islamic radicals, like the home-grown ones the U.K. has been pumping out. These terrorists are so full of hate that they’re beyond rehabilitation, and all we can do is be vigilant, and lock them up if they conspire against us. But the answer to terrorism isn't more killing but stopping the cycle of violence and revenge, and trying to be better citizens of the planet. Do you really think Jesus would suggest killing all Muslims as a way of ridding the world of terrorists? You posted a cartoon of an Arab boot crushing a church steeple, so I assume you remember His words in Matthew 5:43-45? Or in Luke 6:27-36: “But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you.” Now I don’t advocate basing American foreign policy on one religion, and I’m not saying we should give up our country to the terrorists, but it’s incredible that you are really mocking people who follow Jesus’ teachings as a bunch of daisy-picking hippies. Tell me, who would Jesus bomb?

So, then, ArsenicJulep, I'll put you down in the category of surrendering to Islam. So tell me, what will you tell Jesus when you worship Allah because of your surrender?
Posted by: Ogre at August 12, 2006 05:55 PM (QmGzr)
13
So, you disagree with Jesus on this one. Oh, right, because you know better. Ever read Dostoyevsky's "The Grand Inquisitor"? Read it and then get back to me.
Posted by: Arsenic Julep at August 14, 2006 10:15 AM (FCqII)
14
I wasn't disagreeing with Jesus at all. Instead, I was inquiring how to square your interpretation with Jesus. You are claiming that in this case, Jesus says to not fight. Therefore, you have chosen to worship Allah. I'm wondering how that fits with everything else the Bible says.

Democrats Meet Reality
This year, the Democrat-led North Carolina General Assembly passed a new law to prevent people from freeing making contract for labor. They claimed that it would only help people and would not harm anyone. They call this interference with freedom and liberty a "minimum wage law." Once again, reality crushes Democrat spin.
However, Chicago passed a law making minimum wage $13 an hour (only for certain, evil companies), and now companies are running away from Chicago. Lowes is the latest company to stop development, refusing to sign leases for two large stores they had planned in the Chicago area.
In addition, 20 Wal-Mart stores and at least 2 Target stores have stopped plans to build new stores AND CREATE MORE JOBS in the Chicago area, all of them saying that is was because of the $13 minimum wage law. That's AT LEAST 24 stores that have now been driven out of Chicago because of the minimum wage law. How many thousands of jobs were destroyed by that law?
Sure, some smaller businesses may move in (because the law unfairly only applies to "certain" companies) -- but they can't move into those large locations where these big stores were going to show up -- instead those lots will remain empty. Once again, the hard truth of reality trumps the emotions of Democrats.

Bengals Phone Line
Is it me, or is it rather odd that these two stories appear one after another on the ESPN NFL website?
1. Bengals fans can call a number to report "bad behavior."
2. Five Bengals have been arrested in the past 3 months.
I'm wondering if fans are going to be calling on one another or to report Bengals players...
