Yeah, I'm not surprised.
You Are Most Like Ronald Reagan

People tend to think you're a god - or that you almost ruined the country.
But even if people do disagree with you, they still fall victim to your charms!

I'm like JFK, the most conservative, and greatest Presidnet in the world. 2nd is Ronald Reagon the 2nd best president, his fical policies, were the best for long term econ growth in the 90's.

2007 Conservative Leadership Conference
Register now for this year's North Carolina Conservative Leadership Conference!
If you're been a long time reader here at Ogre's, thank you! You might remember the live blogging from the conference from last year. It's archived (scroll down a bit), so you can read and see lots of information and pictures from the places I was during the conference. It was loads of fun and very refreshing to be around actual conservatives!
I've been invited back to live blog again this year. I truly hope to go, but my laptop was stolen a month or so ago, and I've not replaced it yet. I'm not sure if I'll be able to, because the insurance company is still thinking about it, and I'm not sure I had enough coverage to actually get enough to replace it. But I hope to live blog from there, and even if I'm not, why not head up there?
Either way I'll be going to the conference -- this might be your only chance to meet Ogre! And yes, I'll be easy to identify -- my nametag WILL say "Ogre."

We Get Comments
It seems my recent post describing the facts about the
Discount-Mats web site has attracted a couple new commenters. One is someone posting as "Dale." Dale says that he is "A US Troop." He says:
My office gets a kick out of reading (well I read, they laugh) your blogs. It's amazing what the internet has done for those with little backgound knowledge and wisdom.
This is why I fight bad guys on the web everyday, so folks like you can take up vaulable IP's...until we go to IPV6.
Good luck with your crusade against the dems, muslims and others you hate. Remember they can take your guns when they pry them from your cold dead fingers (At least I think that's what your bumper sticker on your f-150 says)
Well now, as Mister Rodgers would say, "Isn't that special?"
He claims that his office laughs while reading my "blogs [sic]." Now in that comment, he's not quite clear which posts he's talking about. For now, I'm going to assume he's a normal, sane, rational person -- in which case he's laughing at the llama joke and the AR Surgeon joke. Well that's good Dale, that's why I posted them, so that people would laugh. I'm glad to have not only lightened your day, but that of your whole office. Thanks for letting me know, really!
Next, Dale says that he fights bad guys on the web so I can have an IP. I'm going to assume, then, that Dale is a member of the mysterious "Men in Black Polka-Dots" -- a sooper-seekret shadow group that uses the internet to shock "bad" people and who protect and free IP addresses for The People. Excellent. Thank you, Dale, for putting the health of your fingers and wrists on the line every day so I can have one of the precious few 4 billion IP addresses available. -- well, at least until IPv6 when, apparently, Dale won't be needed to fight the "bad guys" on the web any more.
Next, he wishes me luck in my battle against evil. Why, thank you again, Dale! I wish you luck in your daily cyberbattles against "bad guys" on the web, too. Perhaps one day we will both be successful -- you get rid of the "bad guys" on the web and I'll try to get the freedom-haters out of America. It sure would be a nice place here, wouldn't it?
Then Dale goes all loopy on me. I really don't know what he's trying to say with
Remember they can take your guns when they pry them from your cold dead fingers (At least I think that's what your bumper sticker on your f-150 says)
Dale, I don't have an F-150. Sure, I wouldn't mind having one, as they are pretty strong and reliable vehicles that can really haul a good bit of stuff around, but I just don't have a need for one now. So I'm not really sure whose F-150 you were following around while reading their bumper sticker. Dale?

I would never put a bumper sticker on my truck. It couldn't have been mine.

Wow, my post has earned it's own private little section...I'm all giddy inside.
I tried to water down the computer "talk" for you so that you might grasp what I was saying...see IP's are NOT like the Never Ending Bread Sticks® at Olive Garden, but I wander, let's get back to the wonderful blog you have so graced us with.
Yes, we do in fact laugh at your blogs, although I wish we had more time to scan through your blogs and uncover some deep dark secrets of eternal wisdom...alas, we don't have the time. So instead we (I) focus on your cute little blog about discount-mats.com.
Not so much as in to read what "dope" words of wisdom you wish provide, but to get a generally good laugh out of your stereotypes, misinformation and lack of knowledge.
As far as the F-150, yes it is a good truck and infact you can haul lots of good ole' stuff with it. You can carry tools to the farm, tow your Jimmy John Bass boat to the lake. Move your house form one lot to the other. Why hell, there are plenty of things the F150 is good for...why did I even associate the F150 with you? I'm sorry Ford.
Now I shall get back to protecting the free internet from bad guys and terrorists...you may now blog, secure in the fact that I (Dale) have your E-back.

I always find it interesting when people argue with me while they're agreeing. I specifically mentioned the actual limit of IPs, but you complain that I agree that IPs are limited. That's a pure example of someone who wants to argue just to argue, never mind the facts. Thanks for pointing that out to my readers.
You apologize to Ford for having a good truck? Again, arguing just to argue, rather than based on reality. Sorry you don't like reality.
And thanks again for protecting the internet. I'm sure that if you were not on the job, the entire internet would go down. Are you related to algore, by chance?

why ogre, i think you have an admirer... though it looks like he doesn't have the stones to actually post a link to his own site...
as for the ip addresses, yeah they are limited... thats why i bought 50 of them... that way i can sell em at auction when they get scarce...
and as for the truck... i think he's trying to imply some sort of redneck connections there... which he would clearly see was inaccurate if you'd just back your truck off the hood of his priius and call off your huntin dawgs
/sarcasm off

I don't know if I would haul a house (even a trailer house) with an F-150....maybe, MAYBE a single wide but not too far.....

I'm not sure, but I think he's trying to say all hundreds of millions of F-150 owners are stupid. I could be wrong.
And Chris, be careful! This Dale may come and take your IPs back if he thinks that you're a terrorist who took them and that other people should have them.
Posted by: Ogre at January 31, 2007 10:56 PM (pHUVv)
8
Oh, and Kender? I agree. If you're going to be hauling houses, I'd jump right to the 350 myself.

I got one for Dale!! I'm a five foot four inch girl who drives an F350 extended cab pickup with a Power Stroke.
I aspire to be as smart and witty as Dale. Um Dale, if that is your real name, don't you know better than to pick on Ogres?
You are probably a llama aren't you?

It would seem reading comp evades most of you.
At what point did I "diss" the F-150? It's not my cup of tea, If I were to own a pickup truck it would be a S/C Ford Lightning with a 10psi pulley, 4:10's and 75 shot of juicy juice rolling on 18x10 Roto slipstreams. (wanna talk cars)
My website? I don't have a website, thus no link to website, see how that works. Does MySpace count as a website? You do upload HTML, so I guess that would sort of count as a website. DalesGSXR is my MY SPACE dot COM address. Feel free to stop by and say hi.
I don't get the LLAMA reference ODDYBOBO, like I said I only check out the Discount-mats thread and this one because it is about me and I love things about me. I'm so glad you are 5'4" Girl that drives an F350. Is that something to brag about are you just stating you list of vehicles in your garage....if so...I'm 5'11 and I drive a 01 C5, it's not much for hauling or "goin muddin" but it goes really fast. I could mention my "sport Bike", but again you can't haul anything in that, although it does have a nice little storage space in the tail section that you could put a can of Red Bull or maybe 1 pound of un-cut colombian gold. (it would be your choice)
Enough playing "What's in my Garage"....
Ogre, I'll agree with you when you are right, otherwise I will continue to argue for the sake of arguing. So far you have been right about the F-150 and IP's, I guess sub-nets will be next.
Good luck today, I hear through the Gr apevine that Vista has a "big Brother" feature, maybe you should blog about that too. It may be connected to the Muslim terrorists that are plotting to overthrow the US and take over the world...I'm already picking out my prayer mat and looking east!

Good thing you're willing to submit to the terrorists, Dale, that will make you their friend. Me, I'm sorry, but I would rather be free.
My garage is mostly full of tools and crap.
Posted by: Ogre at February 01, 2007 03:53 PM (pHUVv)
14
Of course you didn't get the llama reference Dale. Oh, and Dale if you want a list of things in my garage, we need a week. Several vehicles, two quads, some sled-ridding equipment, tools, things that go boom! (Fireworks) and probably things left over from a garage sale.
Now that the personal stuff is out of the way, I'm bored with you.

McGehee....your right. I wish I had the smarts to differentiate between Blogs and Blog enteries...thank you so much for your enlightenment. I feel whole now.
You have an F350 and some quads...why does this not suprise me? I'll bet you have a sweet gun rack and a whole set of cammo uniforms....I'll even step out on a limb and says at one point you have bought cammo because you thought it looked cute.
We could play who's got more stuff, but you would loose....and I would still be too cool for school.

Wow..."I'm deap in the heart of them now oh lord" Anyone seen the movie Southern Comfort? I feel that I'm conversing with all the extras right now. When this page loads I swear I hear Dueling Banjos playing in the background.
Drrr da Drrr drrr drr drr drr drr drrrrr!

19
So what are you trying to say, Dale?
Posted by: Ogre at February 02, 2007 03:55 PM (oifEm)
20
I do believe that Dale is trying to tell me that my Ivy League ass is a down south hillbilly. No offense of course to my dear friends from the south.
Sorry to disappoint Dale. Me and my genius level I.Q. live in the Northern Wilds. Oh, and my Ivy League education and subsequent degree tell me that while engaging you further would be comical, it would also be fruitless.
But to satisfy you, my F350, while looking mighty purty, hauls gear and quads to and from events. Often, it hauls several fireman and their children. Sometimes it even hauls dirt for my flower beds. I do not have a gun rack - I have a nice rack, but not a gun rack. And you did not just diss Dueling Banjos!
Ogre, please tell me, was I wrong to think I look cute in cammo? Does this sidearm make me look fat? ;-)

Ooh, now dis me, Dale. I own a Bronco and wear cowboy boots and a Stetson cowboy hat. And I even own a gun and am a life member of the NRA.
Of course, I also have two college degrees and have read
Capital by Karl Marx and
Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. True, I skipped John Galt's three-hour radio speech but that's only because there were no car chases.

Oh, and one more thing: Dale, Google "International Mensa." I don't belong anymore because the American organization endorsed Bill Clinton in 1992. Geniuses can be so stupid sometimes.
Posted by: McGehee at February 03, 2007 12:45 PM (lAOTn)
24
Ok....lets start from the start.
Oddybobo- You haven't disappointed me, not in the slightest. I hadn't set any high expectations for you in the first place, so no let-down here. As far as the hauling and the pulling and the moving...hmmm well..."You go girl" Just in case you are wondering, you don't have to live down south to be a hillbilly...hell, I knew plenty of redneck/hillbillies while I did a stint at stratcom...and believe me, Omaha has very few hills. Also, why do you people read so much into replies, I don't think I "disssed" Dueling Banjos...hell I've been know to break out the Fender and throw down some ole' Cannonball Rag or classic Doc Watson, although I do it with all my teeth in place and NOT married to my thrid cousin.
McGehee- Do you own a Bronco or a Bronco II...I ask because that will determine your level of "dis". You wear cowboy boots and a Stetson...so what do you want? If you are offering up fashion tips I'll pass, I like my look, but thanks anyway. You have a gun and are a Lifetime NRA memeber. Well aren't you the envy of everyone in Paradise Acres Trailer Lot and Pawn Shop (I'm guessing that's where you live, although I have no basis for this assumption I'll make it anyway).
You have two (2) College degrees? You say this why, to impress me? The Bronco claim was more impressive than someone saying they have 2,4 or even 8 degrees...Hell the way they shuffle kids through college these days I would be suprised to find few people who have NO degree.
I would GOOGLE "international Mensa" but right now I'm to busy using my search engine to find prices on used Ford Broncos. If you have one, so must I (it's the little kid in me). I'll let you know about Mensa thing right after I get done with my vehicle search.
Ogre- Have you cleared out those damn Muslims yet? I swear my vette was running rich this weekend and zI'm sure it had to do with the terrorists, or maybe Chavez is putting something in the gas. Maybe we should invade them next, at least the weather would be better than Iraq.
Posted by: Dale at February 05, 2007 02:31 PM (G7Dx2)
25
Thanks for clearly illustrating your clear bias, hatred, and stupidity for all to see, Dale. Thanks for making my point for me.
Posted by: Ogre at February 05, 2007 02:37 PM (oifEm)
26
Show me the hate? You like to post things with no basis. I have hated on no one. I have stated my opinions on the ignorance of your readers/blogers...but I don't hate any of them. I pity those who don't know better, like you, but I still don't hate you.
Posted by: Dale at February 05, 2007 04:03 PM (G7Dx2)
27
Dale, do you know what we drivers of fullsize Broncos call those Bronco "II" things? Spares. I think I have one or two bolted to the undercarriage of my Bronco, in case of breakdown in a mall parking lot (wouldn't be any use off-road, but may be able to deal with speed bumps, if properly scouted beforehand).
And I notice you didn't say anything about my having read both Marx and Rand. Were the authors' names too long for you?
Posted by: McGehee at February 05, 2007 06:03 PM (lAOTn)
28
Of course. It's only hate if you say it's hate. Please do provide us with your own personal dictionary written by Dale for the world. Let us all know how life is in DaleLand. We understand completely.
Posted by: Ogre at February 05, 2007 08:36 PM (oifEm)
29
McGehee- I agree, I wouldn't wish a Bronco II on my worst enemy or even Ogre.

Those along with the replacing the 302 with the 281 in the Mustang are Fords biggest mistakes, that and the Mustang 4 cyl....not the 2.3T but the straight 4 banger.
Marx and Rand????? Did any of those have pictures? If not it probably skipped my entry in my Book of the month club for dummies. (I'm still thumbing my way through Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maint.)
Orge- I know you are but what am I...that's the only thing you seem to post....I want, by your meaning, not mine, where my hatered shows....I love most everyone, so more literal than others...I hate ignorance, racism and Hondas that think they are race cars (another car thing...I love cars...and motorcycles...check my My Space)

OOO, he has a MySpace page. Isn't that where adults prey upon teens? I digress . . .
I didn't disappoint you because you had no expectations of me? Yet it is ok for you to heckle me or imply that I'm an ignorant fool because I read Ogre, a very good friend of mine? Dale, you are the ignorant fool.
I have two advanced degrees, I am a volunteer fire fighter, I am a minority, I am a woman, I am independent, intelligent and also quite wealthy (on paper at least). I raise a family, I have a farm, I love my dog and I am not married to anyone who is remotely related to me, nor have I recently fallen off a turnip truck. I have worked hard my entire life and refuse to allow people like you to belittle my accomplishments in any way.
You came here, to this fine blog and insulted its author and its readers. You came here with your inability to spell and your abnormal attachments to vehicles and you implied that we were less intelligent than you because of the views espoused here. Yet, you have no views of your own. You have not proven a point, nor even made a point. We have indulged your ignorance, well, because we could.
I would consider a debate with you, but you have nothing to debate - except the relative value of a Honda motorcycle over some other brand. My personal favorite is Victory. I digress again . . .
Ogre, since I'm the 30th commenter can I get a prize? I know *close comments* so we don't have to read anymore dale-drivel. Sorry, I couldn't resist engaging once again . . . Bad-Oddy.

Oddybobo- Yes I have a myspace, I'm not sure if it's the place adults use to prey on teens or people use to keep in contact with friends...you use it how you want and so will I.
Let me get this straight, you're a minority, a woman and independent. You are wealthy (on paper), and you raise a family...did I cover everything? Well good for you, I'm sure that impresses you and about 2 other people. Your ablity to E-argue is horrid. I wasn't trying to make you look like a fool, sorry if you came off like one. You stated you owned a F350 and some 4-wheelers, I made an observation, true or not, you seem to have taken it to heart.
As for my spelling, well as some of Orge's followers have stated "This is a blog" and like any good E-thug, once I get going I sometimes forget to proof read my work, with no edit function I may fat-finger a key now and then...sorry dear.
My original arrival was to mock Ogres thread on discount-mats, I strolled (or Trolled) over here and noticed I had obtained my own little section. As I stated, I love to see things about me and couldn't resist joining in.
I'm sorry if you are unable or willing to put up a fight to defend your posts or friend (orge), he is a racist and a hate monger. He hides his hate under a thin blanket of patriotism. Anyone with 1/3 a brain can see through his actions. I just noticed I was using HIM and HE, if Ogre is a chic I'm sorry.
Ogre- Not once have you been able to put up a decent arguement for your actions or thoughts, you are what we ike to call in my line of work a "Copy and Paste" Guru. Unable to muster enough brainpower to create your own thoughts you reply on others and through the magic of the internet you...copy and paste... "your" opinions for all to see.
Akbarjr- That was such a weak attempt to make Muslims look bad I won't even respond to who ever has this Alternate persona. (#1 rule in E-thugging is to create a trust first then start the E-fights...I guess that was a response, but that's as far as I will go.

Ogre?? You are a racist? You are sooo not getting pie! *rolls eyes*
My "ability to E-argue is horrid" good thing they pay me the big bucks to argue in person. *snicker*
Dale bores me, with his *lather, rinse, repeat* statements. That's what I get for feeding the trolls *picks up ball and goes to new court* - *make that real court . . . I've got a hearing at 3*

Oddybobo- If someone is paying you to argue you had best offer refunds. I agree, the "regulars" on this blog bore me, nothing you post has any value added. I shale move on to bigger pastures with less pasture pies.
Orge- You should come to Daleland, it's a great place, we don't make desisions based on religion or race, we don't just "copy and paste" our thoughts and we all like a good cold Fat Tire before lunch.
Have fun!

Oh my GOODNESS, what IS this debate all about? Is it really a debate? In all earnesty, debating without a clear point in mind really is rather foolish.
What is the point in mind here? Is it freedom and the debate over what entails freedom or is it truly an attempt at slaying your "opposition" because you disagree with his opinions... slaying him with... all kinds of generalised and stereo-typical terms? What a crazy contradiction.
In reading these comments I've come to some thoughts, based partly on our current world situation and our desire for freedom. I'll fire away.
Maybe I have no right to be here; I am not American but an Australian, however the whole discussion on freedom as well as the situation in Iraq is as much our country's situations as anyone else's.
There are a lot of things that don't make sense to us here in the West as we watch the world's events. We have all lost people we love to senseless acts, however we are not alone. Unfortunately we must conclude that many of "them" have also for reasons they don't understand.
I also watch the way we treat one another in our own countries, our intollerances for each other's point of views, our lack of curtesy (as partly shown by some of the comments I have read here) and then I see our bafflement over why "those" people seem to hate us so much. Wh ywould people respect others who can't even respect themselves let alone show respect for others?
We take our anguish out on individuals with whom we've never been in contact before because they identify themselves with a particular religion we don't agree with.
What happened to the basis of our "Christian" founding, or have we strayed so far? Or is it that we never had things in order in the first place?
I can't help but hear the voice which has been resounding in my head louder and louder of late... the voice of Jesus who said "If they hated me, why do you expect them not to hate you? Is a servant greater than their master?"
that is, a man who loved and gave his life for people... anyone of any religion can take that in.
All I really can do is live a life I know is just and free of hate. In doing so it is not guaranteed I will not be hated, but at least I can be infectious with my earnesty to those who will respond.
Let's not make "us" and "them" calls as this world situation gets worse... either internationally... or between ourselves.
That's what I was thinking. I shall now dismount my soapbox.

Meili, thanks for stopping by.
The point was for me to attempt to determine what this commenter was trying to say to me. I was just trying to find out his point of view and to clarify what he had said to me.
As for there not be an "us and them," as you pointed out -- Jesus said that any who follow him will be hated because of him. He didn't say to cave in and collapse to any religion.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Has anyone seen that quote above? Does it look familiar to anyone? For those educated in the government school system in the past 10 years, you might not recognize it. It's the first amendment to the US Constitution, which is supposed to be the supreme law of the land. However, it's not.
Those amendments were designed to ensure that government did not take personal rights away from individuals. They did not grant those rights, they were to protect those rights. But a federal judge in Florida disagrees.
The case was a first trial based on a new law that is a clear violation of that amendment listed above. That law made voluntary association with people that results in injury a felony. Not a misdemeanor, but a felony -- a serious crime that stays with you your entire life.
In the particular case, one person got injured. I'm sorry that Marcus Jones was injured, seriously. However, Mr. Jones voluntarily submitted to the injury. Mr. Jones voluntarily went to two other people, freely associating with them, and asked them to spank him. They did so. At no time did Mr. Jones complain, stop, or walk away. At no time did the other two persons do anything at all to illegally restrain or stop Mr. Jones from walking away. Mr. Jones FREELY and voluntarily submitted to the spanking.
But Judge Kathleen Dekker said that this simply cannot be allowed. She said that people should not be free to associate with one another in this manner. She said that the two people who did what Mr. Jones asked should be thrown in jail with murderers and rapists who violate the liberty of others. Judge Kathleen says that you do NOT have the right to associate with those that you like.
Many people in San Francisco should take heed of this ruling -- it says you are NOT free to associate with those you want to unless Judge Dekker says that it's okay. Freedom takes another hit in America. I'm not sure why we even have a Constitution any more.

Christian Nazi Detained in England
I'm sure by now you've read about the "
foiled kidnapping" attempt in England. Do note in all the news coverage that absolute and total lack of two words: terrorism and Muslim.
You see, I'm sure that the people arrested in the plot to film the brutal beheading of an English citizen are Christian right-wing neo-conservative Nazis. After all, aren't they they group of people who most often behead people and film it for terroristic purposes? I'm sorry, this wasn't a terrorist act, I'm sure this was just a "politcal statement."
I understand that many of the details of this arrest are being withheld as the police continue their investigation. However, who actually believes that the people planning this terrorist act are NOT Muslims? If you actually believe that, I truly feel sorry for you because you really don't have a clue about the world today.
Folks, these are moderate Muslims. This is what they do. I don't like it. I wish it weren't true. But what good does it do to deny reality? If you're not a Muslim, they want you to convert or they will kill you, period.

Google Supports Terrorists
Anything wrong with this statement?
Muslim Chickens hatched World War III. We coined the phrase 'Muslim Chickens' to reflect the cowardly methods used by radical Muslims in their jihad against the world. We pull no punches and exercise zero political correctness. We do not recognize liberal-lefty rules here. We tell it like it is while seeking THE FINAL SOLUTION to THE MUSLIM QUESTION
Google thinks so. In fact Google disliked that position statement so much they decided they needed to
censor a blog that DARED to say that -- because some
terrorists muslims complained.
For those who are a little slow, I'll explain my position: Google is free (at least right now) to do business with whomever they want. But they do have to live with the responsibility of their actions (if you're a liberal, go ahead and look that word up in the dictionary). So I'm just pointing out that Google is, in fact, a liberal organization that would choose to give in to terrorists than to stand up for individual freedom of speech.

Democrats Want More
While it's going to be a bad year for freedom nationally with the Democrats in charge, I truly hope a small number of people die from their horrible decisions and putting these morons in charge of national security. But in North Carolina, things will continue to get worse as Democrats get bolder and bolder in their advances of socialism. Note
the words used by Democrats this year:
They want two BILLION more "for schools." This is after raising $400 million last year with the lottery that was supposed to solve all their problems. Keep in mind, these are the educrats who OPENLY admit, when asked how much they need, "MORE." And no, the state hasn't paid off the LAST $1.8 billion they passed for schools -- heck, they haven't even SPENT all of that one yet!
"We can't do but so much with the property tax," said Fred Bartholomew, chairman of the Johnston County school board. "Impact fees, transfer fees or whatever. We need some help."
Know what that means? It means he's afraid to raise the property tax any more. Why? Because the sheep people in North Carolina might actually DO something if they realized how much they were working for the state. Instead, he wants to raise taxes somewhere else, where people won't see them. He's openly admitting that he wants more money but doesn't want any of the suckers who pay the taxes to know about it. There's a slimy politician for you.
School boosters looking for $2 billion are competing for limited money with affordable-housing advocates, land conservationists and proponents of more roads and sewer pipes.
In other words: the Democrats ARE going to raise taxes massively and ARE going to spend at least $2 billion MORE this year. The only question is which scumbag moochers will GET the money that's taken by force from those who work and produce.
"It's much fairer to raise money for schools by enacting a growth tax like the land transfer tax than through the sales tax," he said.
In other words, it's more fair to punish people who want to move than to punish people who buy things. No, slimeball, it's more fair for Democrats to stop spending money faster than they can take it from those who work and produce.
How do these bastards look at themselves in the mirror in the morning?

News Break
Hey folks. Sorry to those who come by here looking for commentary on the destruction of freedom by Democrats on a daily basis -- the horribleness of the news needs a break sometimes. Today is that day. I'll be back, exposing and illustrating how much Democrats and government employees hate freedom, just not today. I'm taking a break.
But hey, go visit Arthur's Hall and read about many firearms!

Oh man, I so needed my laugh today. You are by far the "Silliest person posting what they believe are truths" on the web.

NC Legislature Spends
The non-election year session of the North Carolina General Assembly is in full swing. As you might imagine, since it's ruled by Democrats (and ALWAYS has been), they're trying to decide how much more they can get away with spending. They're going to raise taxes again, it's only a question now if they'll raise them by 1 billion or 2 billion.
So why does North Carolina need to spend billions more every year? Because Democrats are in charge. I'm sorry, but that is what Democrats do. Where Republican can mess things up, too, I guarantee that if Republicans ever got control of North Carolina, they wouldn't increase spending.
This year they claim to "need" to give welfare to furniture companies. So much for the Democrats being for "the people" and not businesses. Do people still believe that lie today? In this case, they want at least another $7 million to make furniture more expensive. However, instead of the people who actually buy the furniture paying for it, they want everyone who works in North Carolina to pay for it. Welfare for business: it's what the Democrats do.
They also want to refuse to take $40 or more million for selling land they're not using. Instead of selling the land to someone who would pay lots of money for it now AND pay tons of taxes AND generate jobs; the socialist Democrats don't want to lose control over that land. Instead, they want to make it a park. So there's another hundred million or so out the window thanks to Democrats. But don't worry, they'll just raise your taxes to make up the difference.

14-Year Old Streetbiker
Now
this story is more than just a story about a really talented kid who learned to ride a streetbike in, well, ways that seem to defy physics. In addition, this fellow actually appreciates this country and wants to thank those who made it possible for him to actually have the freedom to learn such things. And no, it's not the government.
Instead, Aaron Colton wants to thank the troops. He wants to perform for wounded soldiers in Washington and in Iraq, if possible. He wants to share his talents and thank the soldiers who risk their lives to ensure that we can be free, in spite of attempts by Democrats and others who want us to surrender and become muslim.
How can he do that? He doesn't know, and neither do I. But I do know that if we spread the word, perhaps someone who DOES know will read about it and will be able to help Aaron realize his dream -- of thanking soldiers. That's what Aaron dreams about -- what do you wish for in your life?

I just wanted to thank you for picking up on my desire to give the troops a little lift from home. They have to feel pretty depressed thinking that none of us have enough guts to stick it out when we are living in luxury and they are the ones that are making all of the sacrifices and living the misery.
I really do appreciate the military support blogs that have helped publicize what I am trying to do. We are making progress and we have hired a publicist. Calling the USO can help, especially if you have a connection with the military. I know from the troops that I have performed for that they love the show. And I am sure the support that I can show by going to Iraq and Afghanistan will mean all that much more for them and really bring the message of the support they have from many many people at home. It also reminds them of home and what they are fighting for, because many write and say that they can not wait until they can get back to America and hop on their motorcycles again and ride and stunt and be free.
I wish the soldiers could just feel how much love and pride my family alone has in its hearts for them. When I think of how many guys might feel that we have let them down and turned away from what they are giving their lives for and yet go out every day and do their jobs and face death again and again! Shame is not a strong enough word.
Thank you everybody and please find a way to show your patriotism and support. I have found that just my one persons support can affect many soldiers.

Hizb ut-Tahrir?
This is a group of muslims who want to overthrow any non-muslim government. I think in today's world, that makes them officially "moderate" muslims -- only because they're not actively killing people at the conference. One of their current targets is the Australian government. They openly advocate the total overthrow of the Constitutional government of Australia; and a replacement of that government with a religious totalitarian society ruled by Sharia law.
Oh, and they're hosting a conference in Sydney, Australia. Isn't freedom great? The muslims are meeting in the open in a country in which they openly advocate overthrow of the government.
Gee, I wonder what would happen if they did that in the US? I bet billions of dollars of taxpayer money would be spent to protect the "rebels" from the good citizens who might actually want to NOT be overthrown by a religious law.
This will not end until people die. Perhaps lots of people. I just hope it's the radical, err... "moderate" muslims who have to die and not Australians or Americans.

Discount-Mats.com
Well, it seems that the author of Discount-Mats.com is back. Thanks to a reader, they note the Discount-Mats website has been repaired and now shows a new phone number and a new email address. Feel free to
head over and contact them if you like. For details about the "company,"
look here and
here.
On the "new" site, they have a notice:
As a company, we would like to say that it is against company policy to treat anyone disrespectfully, and we condemn any such behavior. The member who was responsible for stating their personal opinion in a disrespectful manner is no longer associated and no longer working with Discount-Mats.com
The members within our company strongly disagreed with the views and actions of this member, and once again, his personal opinion does not reflect the opinions of the company.
We, as a company, are sorry for the events that took place and we do not condone un-professional, rude behavior from any members within our company.
Interesting, no? I am still quite convinced, and will be until presented with any evidence to the contrary, that this entire "company" is one single person playing with a computer in their parent's garage. Seriously. Because of that belief, I find their repeated claims that the "employee" has been fired. I think Faisal Khetani is the only person associated with the company or the web site. But I could be wrong.

Hillary Clinton on the Constitution
Well, since algore could invent the internet and Hillary could be named after an explorer who became famous after she was born, I don't see any reason why she couldn't have
written the United States Constitution, too, do you? Well, she's certainly claiming she did.
New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton blamed President Bush on Saturday for misusing authority given him by Congress to act in Iraq, but conceded "I take responsibility" for her role in allowing that to happen.
From the United States Constitution (Article II, Section 2):
The President shall be commander in chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the militia of the several states, when called into the actual service of the United States;
So, according to Democrats, Hillary Clinton wrote Article II, Section 2 of the US Constitution, giving the president power over the military.
Know what's really sad? Because so many people and Democrats were indoctrinated "educated" in the government school system, they're actually going to believe their queen.

You know, if the Libs actually ever read the Constitution, I would be concerned that they would try impeaching Bush for using the Marines and the Air Force for fighting, which is not spelled out in the Constitution.
Though, of course, they probably have no clue that the Marines are sorta part of the Navy

NC Democrats Sexist
According to the Associated Press, all North Carolina Democrats are sexist. Those Democrats who voted for representatives that were female, only voted for them because they were female and not because they were Democrat, or because the people agreed with their positions.
Even worse, again, according to the Associated Press, the Democrats who were elected to the legislature are just as racist, but in the opposite direction. You see, the Democrats voted for a "leader" and they only selected their leader because he had a penis and intentionally did not select someone else who didn't have one. Again, this is according to the Associated Press.
They absolutely praised the forward-thinking and progressiveness of the voters of North Carolina for deciding who would represent them based on their lack of a penis; and yes, they derided those in the legislature who dared to vote for someone with a penis.
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."
I have a dream that one day in the state of North Carolina, members of the Associated Press will be able to report facts without judging a person based on the absence or presence of a penis.
I have a dream that one day in the state of New York, members of the New York Times will be able to report the facts of something that happened without viewing everything through an anti-American and liberal prism.
But yes, it's just a dream.

New Neighbor #47
Welcome again, good readers, to this week's New Neighbor. For those who haven't seen this feature before, this is a weekly post that appears each Sunday afternoon. Each week Ogre reads through some new blogs from the massive blogroll on the right side of the main page, right now the Evangelical Blogroll, and finds a new blog to highlight and introduce to you, my kind reader. This week, it's
This blog is about
Life Apologetics Sports Poker How Beautiful My Wife Is Whatever
And, well, other than telling you the author is "JivinJ," I can't tell you much more about the blog itself -- there's no typical "About" tag in the corner. And yes, I am well aware that the kettle is calling the pot black. One day I might get around to putting one up...
The latest post from Friday is one that I had considered writing last week, but I ran out of time. In that post, JivinJ asks when storing of umbilical cord cells became "controversial?" I'm not sure I've heard anyone complain about that until, well, this person started storing them and the news generated a fake controversy.
He's got another post up that shows Democrats in Iowa working on redefining the English language to fit their own usage now. Apparently now in Iowa, "stem cell" means "cloning." Yes, only in Democratic Iowa are those two things synonyms.
There's also a post that helps debunk abortion lies from the pro-death group. And he does it without even mentioning the 40 million babies that have been killed in the United States since 1973.
The blog layout is rather plain and simple, but that makes it easy to read with lots of flashy things vying for your eyeballs' attention. So, on this wonderful Sunday afternoon, why not head on over and have a read. See if you like what you see. You might find a new blog to read every day.

Yaa... your joke were bad enough I went looking for a pun that was just as awful. Think I found it...
My mother lives in North Wales, and there is a growing use of non-native livestock (incluiding water buffalo!) on farms in the area. Among these are several herds of llama, so when she walks by the field very day she sees...
... the Daily Llama (to help with the pun: Dalai Lama)! Found at http://www.usenet.com/newsgroups/rec.music.filk/msg04085.html

An AR Surgeon Joke
Three Arkansas surgeons were playing golf together And discussing surgeries they had performed. One of them said, "I'm the best Surgeon in Arkansas. In my favorite case, a concert pianist lost seven fingers in an accident, I reattached them, and 8 months later he performed a private concert for the Queen of England."
The second surgeon said. "That's Nothing. A young man lost an arm and both legs in an accident. I reattached them, and 2 years later he won a gold medal in track and field events in the Olympics."
"The third surgeon said, "You guys are amateurs. Several years ago a woman was high on cocaine and marijuana and she rode a horse head-on into a train traveling 80 miles an hour. All I had left to work with was the woman's blonde hair and the horse's rear-end. I was able to put them together and now she's a senator from New York."

As a former resident of Alaska, I cannot allow this to go uncorrected!!!
AK refers to Alaska, not Arkansas! The postal abbreviation for Arkansas is AR.
Kindly correct this abominal insult to my former home state, or you shall surely hear from my attorneys, the law form of Salisbury, Poore, Naste, Brutus and Short.

A Tight Skirt Joke
One day, at a bus stop there was a girl who was wearing a skintight miniskirt. When the bus arrived and it was her turn to get on, she realized that her skirt was so tight she couldn't get her foot high enough to reach to step.
Thinking it would give her enough slack to raise her leg, she reached back and unzipped her skirt a little. She still could not reach the step. Embarrassed, she reached back once again to unzip it a little more. Still, she couldn't reach the step.
So, with her skirt zipper halfway down, she reached back and unzipped her skirt all the way. Thinking that she could get on the step now, she lifted up her leg only to realize that she still couldn't reach the step.
So, seeing how embarrassed the girl was, the man standing behind her put his hands around her waist and lifted her up on to the first step of the bus. The girl turned around furiously and said, "How dare you touch my body that way, I don't even know you!"
Shocked, the man says, "Well, ma'am, after you reached around and unzipped my fly three times, I kinda figured that we were friends."

Friday Feast
Last week, with some prodding from
Raven I participated in
Friday Feast. So, since it's Friday, and time for lighter fare, I'll play again this week. Here's how it works:
While our questions may sometimes be related to food, the main idea here is to feed your mind by asking thought-provoking, mind-stimulating questions.
Each Friday when you visit this meme, you will find 5 enticing courses for your mind to gobble up:
Appetizer
- a quick, tasty morsel to get you started
Soup
- smooth and warm to soothe your mind
Salad
- a nutritious blend of "veggies"
Main Course
- a hearty portion that is sure to satisfy
Dessert
- light concoction for your sweet tooth
Okie dokie. Here's
This week:
Appetizer
If you could take lessons to learn any musical instrument, which would you want to learn?
The Pinto Beans.
What? You've never heard the song, "Beans, beans, the musical fruit?" I'm not quite sure HOW you make music with beans, but I am willing to learn.
Soup
Have you ever mistaken a person for someone else?
Once I thought
Tammi was a llama. But that's all. Oh, and I once mistook
Harvey for a monkey. But no one else. And I still have to apologize to Craig the chimp for that one.
Salad
On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how well do you keep secrets?
I can't tell. I was sworn to secrecy.
So I guess that makes me a 10, huh?
Oh crap, now I'm a 1.
Main Course
What's the closest you've ever been to a dangerous animal?
I've stood exactly 31 inches from large numbers of U.S. Marines.
Dessert
When was the last time you lost your patience?
I'm not sure. Last I checked it was locked up in that drawer right over there, but I haven't looked recently to see if it's moved.

Tom Tancredo for President
He's only
formed an exploratory committee so far, but America needs Tom Tancredo. He may not even run because so far his goal seems to be to get the candidates talking about his issues; but America needs Tom Tancredo.
His #1 issue, which is one of the most important in America today, is immigration:
I am absolutely opposed to amnesty or guest worker program in any form. In addition to rewarding those who broke our laws, amnesties simply do not solve the problem of illegal immigration. The only realistic solution to the problem of illegal immigration is a strategy of attrition, which seeks to reduce the flow of the illegal alien population over time by cutting off the incentives for coming to and staying in America - most importantly by eliminating the jobs magnet.
No other current leader in Washington nor any other announced candidate has this position. If you are opposed to Spanish as a new national languge; if you believe American citizenship should have meaning; if you think laws are to be obeyed regarding immigration; and if you think there's a problem with terrorists slipping over the border; you need to support Tom Tancredo.
Mr. Tancredo OPPOSED "No child left behind." He's a former government (public) school teacher, so he knows exactly what teachers face and the state of the education system. He supports tax credits for EVERYONE who wants to send their children ANYWHERE for education. Imagine that, freedom of choice.
He wants to actually fix social security and allow people choices:
One component is individually-controlled, voluntary personal retirement accounts, which will augment the Social Security safety net. Any solution must, however, protect current retirees, and provide greater retirement security for future retirees.
He hates high taxes. He supports a flat tax.
This is not a Republican or Democrat -- this is the ONLY candidate so far that actually wants America to have borders. If you like America as a country, you need Tom Tancredo.

Tancredo and Duncan Hunter appear to be the best men to declare so far. Unfortunately, Representatives don't usually make it to the White House in a single bound; they have to become Governors, Senators, or Vice-Presidents first. Either that, or command the Allied forces in Europe in a world war, but that option carries some extra baggage, to say nothing of the dearth of opportunities.

Well it looks to be a year of changes -- sitting Senators don't get elected president either. I'm not sure anyone's told Hillary or her entourage, the media.

Congress is not the place to look for leaders. They are committees. Look to the Governors. That makes it Gilmore by default. Pataki and Romney don't count since neither is a conservative.
The guy I really like isn't running. He has a bad last name. First name is cool though. Don't think we ever had a Jeb before.

Gilmore? I don't know much about him. I've heard lots of good things about Jeb, but yeah, his last name will completely stop him.

Ron Paul has an exploratory committee now too. See ronpaulexplore.com
I don't know much about Tancredo other than his stand on illegal immigration. Ron Paul is someone I could vote for in good conscience though, even if he runs as a Republican. There was a rumor that he might even run as the Constitution Party candidate.
Posted by: Echo Zoe at January 27, 2007 03:30 AM (8POA1)

I had heard Ron Paul was considering -- he has a horrible record on immigration, so I'm not sure I could support him. Of course, give Paul or the average Republican, yeah, I'd vote Paul in a minute.

I'm all for Tancredo over the current pack. I would love for Haley Barbour of Miss to run.
Also, I want Cheney to announce he is running, to see if Helen Thomas fulfills her promise to kill herself

You don't think when liberals actually speak they MEAN anything, do you? Can you name one liberal, in the last decade, that has actually done what they claimed they were going to do? "Vote or Die" comes to mind...

Well, not to disagree, but I do believe the Libs when they say they want to pull out from Vietraq immediately.
Posted by: William Teach at January 28, 2007 05:38 PM (doAuV)

Oh yeah? I bet if Bush made a turnaround and announced he was immediately withdrawing every single US person in Iraq, the Democrats would disagree and demand that we send more troops.
