Bush continues to Support Illegals

Regular readers here know that we have been closely following the case where two border patrol agents have been arrested, tried, and now sentenced for TRYING TO ENFORCE THE BORDER. We have asked that Bush pardon the agents and have suggested that if he did, there would be a HUGE wave of Republican support for the election this year.

Now it can be reported that Bush has absolutely no intention to pardon those agents and he apparently strongly supports their arrest and punishment FOR TRYING TO ENFORCE THE BORDER. He says that to even consider pardoning them is "nonsensical."

Unfortunately, there's no one else to turn to in government. If Americans want a southern border, we're going to have to make and support it ourself, because the United States government has ZERO desire for any borders.

1 This is so upsetting to read I can't think of what to write. I'm angry... angry beyond words.

2 BTW, your link is broken. I wanted to forward it to others who will also be angry enough to make a lot of noise about this.

4 This is a sad day. We're doomed. The enemy is within. "Unfortunately, there's no one else to turn to in government." You have that right. It seems our only hope in the near future is congressional gridlock which is just as sad.

5 It just keeps getting worse, doesn't it?

6 It seems that way. I'm feeling more disenchanted than usual with this election coming up. The Republicans could have done some great things with the white house and majority of the house and Senate. And this just seems to stand out as their "accomplishment". The 2006 Pig Book identifies 9,963 pork projects in the 11 appropriations bills for fiscal 2006, a 29 percent decrease over last year’s total of 13,997. However, the total cost of these earmarks is a record $29 billion, or 6.2 percent more than last year’s total of $27.3 billion. The cost of pork has increased by 29 percent since fiscal 2003. CAGW has identified $241 billion of pork since 1991. “Pork-barrel spending illustrates and contributes to the meltdown of spending restraint in Washington,” CAGW President Tom Schatz said. “Instead of averting an impending fiscal crisis, members of Congress are grabbing the spoils to support their own re-election.” Until we see term limits, criminalizing lobbying or a strong third party, I don't expect any good news, ever.

7 I think the quotes of the president in this post are bunk, in other words, outright lies. Who is the source of your information? Are you using the NYT's unnamed sources? Looks more like something that stuck to your hand when you attemped to wipe your a** and missed.

8 You're right, Tomslick. And there's no way the people making piles of cash now will ever pass term limits. I absolutely HATE the concept of term limits, but I think it's the only possible hope left. And Scrapiron, I'm not sure if you're being your usual sarcastic self or not. The only quote in the post was the word "nonsensical," and that comes from Tony Snow who speaks for Bush.
