City Competition?

I've mentioned previously the crap that is cities giving away cash to government. You can now read an analysis of why one particular city "won" one contract while another "won" a different contract.

What a pile of crap. This was NOT cities "bidding for contracts." Instead, this was cities "bidding" to see who could GIVE AWAY the most cash to private companies. That is NOT freedom. The supreme court is considering whether this activity is even legal (I submit that it very clearly is unconstitutional).

Competition works -- when PRIVATE enterprises compete. Government is utterly and totally incapable of competition -- because they have literally unlimited funds to "give away" by simply taking more from workers. That is wrong, no matter how you try and sell it.
