City of Charlotte Lies Again

For some reason, I'm just not surprised. Are you? It is a government agency, and it's ruled by Democrats, so I guess we should be surprised if they actually told the truth. This time, they're preparing their whines complaints Christmas List "legislative requests" for the General Assembly. Are you ready?

They want

extra taxes or fees to raise money for road projects, its highest priority

That's an outright lie. Complete and total, blatant lie. Here, let's try and experiment. What is your personal highest priority when it comes to spending money? Think about it a minute, then answer.

Now, is that what you spend the most money on? Then it's simply NOT your highest priority. For most of us, the single largest expense for us is our home. That's what most important to us, so we spend the most money on it. And if you're short on cash, do you skip the house payment or going out?

So, what is the city spending money on? Arenas, stadiums, parks, baseball stadiums, light rail, buses, welfare, and free health care. They seriously have absolutely ZERO interest in roads. They honestly DISLIKE roads! Part of their grand plan is to allow the roads to deteriorate so that you will not use them -- instead you will submit to their soviet-style planning and live in high rises on their grand light rail.

Liars, the lot of them.
