Democrat Decker Guilty
The news gets worse for Democrat Speaker of the NC House
. One of his cronies, Mike Decker, pleaded guilty to receiving bribes to influence politics. For those who don't know the story, here's a recap:
In 2003, about 59% of the people of North Carolina voted for Republican state representatives. With gerrymandering, that gave the Republicans a 61-59 advantage in the House. Jim Black, Democrat, didn't like that. Mike Decker was given $50,000 and later a brand-new state job created just for him (and one for his son). He then switched parties and registered as a Democrat, giving control of the House back to the Democrats.
Rumors are still swirling about who it was that actually gave Mr. Decker the cash bribe -- conditions of his plea bargin have not been released. It may be that Jim Black himself gave him the bribe -- although Black's multiple lawyers and spin machines completely deny it.
Mr. Black may be led away in handcuffs soon.

It may not be CHristian to say this, but I really hope Black is led away in handcuffs for a long time.
If only the people of NC would wake up to the corruption of the state Dems.

He keeps denying he had anything to do with this. If he was really trying to keep his hands out, he gave the $50K to an "operative" to give to Black. However, there is an admitted meeting between Black and Decker in a Salisbury Waffle House where the money may have changed hands.
Decker made a deal. He's going to rat out who gave him the money. If it was Black, he's getting the cuffs quickly. If it was someone else, that someone else will likely turn on Black. Somewhere along the line, Black did order or offer that money and it's going to show up eventually -- unless he hires the mob to help his "defense."
