Well, that's what happened in 1898 in Wilmington. And some parts of the story will be published in some newspapers in a couple weeks.

What may be most interesting is to see how much the fact that it was Democrats who did this will be played down. The "commission" that "investigated" this incident suggested that all victims be compensated. Oh, but of course, since it happened over 100 years ago, none of the victims are alive. That's okay, because we can just "compensate" their descendants.

I've got an idea, socialists, how about if we're going to compensate the descendants, that the descendants of the guilty do the compensating? In other words, you're going to have to go get the white Democrats who did this to pay black Republicans. Stupid idea? Well, pretty much anything involving government these days is, isn't it?
