In most places (NC not included), there's some hope for freedom. You know that if you keep working where you are, little by little you may be able to advance freedom. But how many really believe that you're going to succeed in the next 2, 5, or even 20 years? Take a look at your local elected officials and state legislature. How long is it going to take to change a majority of them to pro-freedom? Is that in your lifetime?
Instead, how would you like to have freedom right now. More freedom than you've ever had before. And how would you like to have hundreds, even thousands, of people living near you that all strongly support freedom, too? Can you imagine a few hundred people working together to increase freedom and reduce government? And right now, in your lifetime?
That's the goal of the Free State Project. Over 400 people have already moved and are already having a HUGE effect on politics. And that's just 400 people. Imagine what a few more hundred would do. And imagine how free you can be when thousands gather, all in the name of freedom. It is possible, and it is possible right now.
They are still gathering signatures on a petition, hoping to get 1,000 people committed right now to move for freedom. Here's what it says:
I will move to New Hampshire by 12/31/2008 where I will work to bring about a society in which governmentÂ’s maximum role is protecting life, liberty, and property but only if 999 other liberty minded individuals will too.
Just imagine 999 others moving with you for freedom. With just 400 people scattered across the state, freedom is already advancing. Just imagine what will happen when that number is tripled, then multiplied by 10.
Consider it a moment, if you will. And if you're thinking that New Hampshire is not for you because you don't like it, three points to further consider:
1. 101 Reasons to Move to NH.
2. What sacrifices are truly worth having actual freedom in your lifetime.
3. That's where freedom really is advancing. If you want freedom, that's where you need to go.
If you would consider it, please see the Free State Project site for more information and do consider signing the First 1000 pledge -- we're trying to get 1,000 people to agree to move by the end of the year (no, you don't have to move in the next two weeks, just agree that you will make every possible attempt to move in 200
