Geddings Guilty!

After a quick jury time-out, the jury found former NC Lottery Commissioner Kevin Geddings, who was appointed by Speaker of the House Jim Black, GUILTY on five counts of mail fraud. He faces "up to 100 years." I predict a $10 fine and probation.

More interesting, however, is that Geddings is guilty. If he's guilty, I think Jim Black is going to get off scott-free. After all, Black claimed Geddings didn't tell him that Geddings was an employee of the lottery company -- that's what the guilty verdict means. And Black has been claiming all along that he didn't know Geddings was an employee -- so if Geddings is guilty, does that mean Jim Black is innocent (in this case, anyway)?
