How Much is the "N-Word" Worth?

According to attorney John Ray, the value of the "n-word" is exactly $5 million. Oh, and if you are reading this, YOU should pay that amount to him and his client. No, not because YOU said the word, but because someone else, with zero association to you or government, said the word to his client. How's that for today's legal system? Can you believe that lawyers can actually make these claims with a straight face?

Well, to be technically correct, no one actually SAID the evil word -- instead it was text-messaged to Brian Orr (slimeball John Ray's client). By whom? Well, that doesn't matter, you see. Because Brian was at a government school when he received the message, YOU, the taxpayer, should give him 5 million dollars. Yes, that's correct. Brian is hurt, insulted, and repressed, but if you put a couple million in his pocket (the rest goes to the lawyer), then he won't feel that way any more.

There's a few more details, including that Brian's locker was spat at. I think the text message might be worth $2 million, while spitting on a locker will cost YOU the taxpayer $3 million. Isn't it wonderful how huge piles of cash can make all the problems of the world go away?

If there were a judge worth his salt, he'd not only throw this court out of case so fast that you'd feel the breeze in Sarasota, FL, but he'd fine the lawyer $10,000 for wasting the court's time and filing baseless lawsuits. I'm not holding my breath for justice on this one either.

1 So, basically it's a fight of ignorance against ignorance which nobody wins?

2 Unfortunately, the ignorant will likely win and the taxpayers of America will likely lose.

3 I have to disagree... everybody loses... both the ignorant ones, because apparently they've learned nothing and are not mature enough to understand they haven't, and those who wind up doing the paying.

4 In their minds they win because they have large piles of cash. Oh, and the lawyers win, of course, because they get a share of the taxpayer money.

5 Hey, next time I go to the DMV, could you do me a favor and send me some offensive message on my cell phone? I'm sure you can come up with something, and I'll just hold the DMV responsible so you'll be ok, and I'll be rich. Maybe in my startled trauma I can walk into a door, too, and sue for some other sorts of damages while I'm at it.

6 Sounds like a plan, Dana -- can you do the same for me so we can all get rich?

Posted by: Ogre at February 28, 2007 08:37 PM (oifEm)

7 Well, now that your plan is out, you must do the same for all of us, but hey, that just means we will ALL be rich!

8 That's the plan! After all, WE won't have to pay -- government will!
