It's Official: No Free Speech in the Press

Here you go. The first case I'm aware of in which the editor of a newspaper in AMERICA has actually been fired for printing the infamous "Mohammed cartoons."

This board that fired him was "students and faculty" of the University of Illinois. By publishing those cartoons, they found he violated policies about "thoughtful discussion." The ironies and incredible double standards are so obvious, I won't even bother describing them here. Yes, here in America, THE PRESS is not allowed to have freedom of speech at UI. The students should get up and walk out -- completely -- take their money and go elsewhere. But they won't, because they just don't care.

"The board is disappointed with this outcome." That's only a half-truth. They are happy, excited, and overjoyed that Acton is gone as the editor, because he questioned their alternate reality that celebrates Islam and cower in utter fear of Islam. The only thing they are disappointed about is the idea that Acton did not join them in their cowering in fear and instead prints the truth.
