So what do you think? Do you think that Democrat Jim Black, who has openly and freely admitted to committing felonies while in office, should receive a pension for his crimes? Currently, under NC law, he will receive a pension for the rest of his life, care of the NC taxpayers. Yes, for doing nothing the rest of his life, he will receive tax money from people who actually work.

Now Phil Berger has filed a bill that says that convicted felons shouldn't receive taxpayer pensions. Isn't is really sick and disgusting that we even need to CONSIDER such a bill? Well, Mr. Berger is a Republican, so it's unlikely that this bill will see the light of day. As it stands, convicted felon Jim Black might get piles of taxpayer money in the form of a pension WHILE serving time in a federal prison.

Go ahead, try and convince me that the current system of government works.
