Anyone remember John Edwards? He bought a seat in the US Senate for a few years, and even showed up to vote once or twice. He was also a vice-presidential candidate for a little while. After he lost that election, he was rewarded by the University system of North Carolina with a chair of some sort. Well, he's back in the news, annoying Democrats again.
What's even funnier about his trips is that the North Carolina Legislature Democrats are mad. Did you know Edwards was from North Carolina? He is, but he's not been campaigning in North Carolina for their minimum wage increase!

Hmmm... I wonder if those states have more ambulences per capita than NC does. If so, that would surely explain it!

I am unaware of anything he did for NC, why would he start now?

He can't have the homeboys making more money! They wouldn't come to him for frivalous law suits to supplement their income! ;-)

oOOOoo, good point, Dagney! It really would cut into his income stream!
Then again, they'd have to pay higher taxes on the new minimum wage, so he'd end up getting their money anyway...

Politics are strange, but it still boggles the mind that a do nothing 1 term senator who was projected to lose his seat big time ran for President, lost the primaries, then was chosen as a VP contender.

And his current actions show he is very clearly still interested in a national stage -- either as the Democrat candidate in 2008 or as the VP again. He wouldn't be out doing all he's doing if he weren't interested in running again.

Good news for the GOP! Can you imagine Kerry/Edwards part II? ROTFLOL! Without Bush running, they would have nothing to talk about. Unless Edwards is going to promise to make quadrapalegics walk again.

Maybe they'll swap this time! Instead of Kerry/Edwards, it will be Edwards/Kerry! Wouldn't THAT be a riot!
