Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a special day in this country. It's the beginning of summer. It's when the pools open in the north. It is a day to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for this country -- giving those who disagree the freedom to do and say as they please.

Few people realize that today the American Flag is to be flown at half-staff to remember those who have gone before -- but at noon the flag is to be raised to it's full height to celebrate the victory of America over it's enemies over the years.

America -- it is the greatest country in the world -- just ask any of those who have put their life on the line for it, despite all the idiots from inside and outside the country who would claim otherwise.

Much more (and better) Memorial Day coverage around the sphere:

Also today -- at 11:00am (local time) is the time for a national prayer for peace. At 3:00pm (local time) it is a national moment of remembrance. I shall be participating, and I hope you shall, too.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to make preparations for the raising of the flag to it's highest point.
