More on Socialist Charlotte Education

Charlotte has a new super-rich resident, Dr. Peter Gorman. He's the newest superintendent of schools. He is paid (in cash and benefits) nearly half a MILLION dollars per year by the taxpayer.

This year, nearly half are low-income, Dr. Gorman noted. With those students come significantly more learning challenges -- challenges that are more costly to address.

So the new superintendent wants to address these "new, low-income" students. So, what's the solution? The exact same solution to every single problem ever created by Democrats and socialists:
Dr. Gorman rightly pointed to the "significant raises for teachers and principals" that the N.C. legislature approved this summer as an aid in meeting that goal.

There you have it. If there's a problem, throw money at it. If that doesn't solve the problem (and it NEVER does), throw MORE money at it. If it's still not solved, that's right, MORE. It literally never ends.

How would you like an 8.23% raise this year? That's what the "underpaid" teachers in Mecklenburg County got. And what did they have to do to earn that? Literally absolutely nothing. Zero. How's the educating of children, you ask? Shut up, that's not a valid question.

The monopolistic-government run "public" school system is about taking money from those who work and spending it, period. If you want your child to be educated, get them OUT of the government school system.

1 The government extorts money for the public schools (via real-estate taxes) then proceeds not to educate the students. And just what exactly does that superintendent do up in the ivory tower (aka "office")?

2 What does he do? He spends my money on social experiments, then spends MORE of my money on whatever he wants for himself (via his salary).

3 Must be nice for him, and he makes more than the President, to boot.

4 Don't you love that? We pay the ADMINISTRATOR of the damn school system more than the President of the United States. Makes you wonder where we get so much money, doesn't it? Well, unless you live in the area and pay taxes there. My tax bill just went up $100 A MONTH due to tax increases.
