Move to New Hampshire?

This is just one of the many reasons why I would like to move to New Hampshire.

Just one paragraph:

We are free to not wear a seatbelt, or to not wear a motorcycle helmet. Most of us do these things anyway, given that it is good common sense, but we recognize that legislating common sense is a dangerous slippery slope we don't want to approach. We are happy to make our own decisions as adults, and to let our neighbors make theirs, knowing that each of us must live with the consequences of our decisions.

(Hat tip to And Rightly So, already a New Hampshire resident.)

1 If they don't have hurricanes... I might think about New Hampshire. I'm over it down here. But, damn, it gets cold there...

2 Nah, it's not that bad. And you get real used to it real quick.

3 not to mention the taxes... so much lower there than in Charlotte!

4 That would be ZERO income taxes, Erin! ZERO sales taxes! Yeah, that's lower!!! I'll never forget the first time I felt that -- I bought a small TV for $99. I walked up to the checkout and had $100 cash. I was digging in my pockets, trying to find a $10 and some change when the register girl said, "$99." That's a NICE feeling.
