It's standard fare in the semi-annual political battles for the United States House -- sling mud, call names, see what "sticks" to your opponent. Of course, the first casualty of these actions is the truth. Opponents of Robin Hayes are actually claiming that Robin Hayes kills puppies. Seriously.

For those who don't want to follow the link into the sewers, the post is about a news report that 60 dogs died in a traffic accident -- and because the government didn't stop people from shipping pets so you could buy them (free enterprise), it's Robin Hayes' fault they died. And if you think that post is a joke, check the comments:

"I realized Hayes really does hold some responsibility for the ... death of those dogs."

"This is no joke"

"Robin Hayes fiddled and 60 puppies burned."

"Our favorite Foxx is on Hayes' puppy killing committee."

And this is from the self-proclaimed "reality-based" community.
