NaNoWriMo

There's still time to join up! 11 days until National Novel Writing Month begins.

National Novel Writing Month is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30.

Valuing enthusiasm and perseverance over painstaking craft, NaNoWriMo is a novel-writing program for everyone who has thought fleetingly about writing a novel but has been scared away by the time and effort involved.

Come on, join up if you've ever once thought about writing a novel. It's pressure-filled, but it's absolutely loads of fun! If you can write blog entries, you can write a novel. Just start it up and see where it goes. And if you don't have time, that's all the more reason to get it started NOW.

And you can even make donations and help build children's libraries in Vietnam. Oh, and my novel, as I write it, will appear here.

1 This NaNoWriMo thing has always intrigued me. I might just join in the fun this year. I don't know, the concept of writing a novel sort of freaks me out.

2 OH, that's half the fun! You just write, write and write! No worries about plot, storyline, or even proofreading! Just write! It's a lot a fun, especially when you get done.
