NC Candidate Blogging
Bob Orr is a Republican candidate for governor in North Carolina. He's decided to make and attempt at blogging. I do hope he keeps up regular updates throughout the campaign. My suggestion, Mr. Orr (even if you didn't ask for it) -- update daily, every day, no matter how busy you are.

Oh, and turn on comments! Sure, you'll get some wackos in there (this is North Carolina, home of the socialists of NC Blue), but it will do nothing but help you. Just post some blurb about how those comments aren't your position. Seriously, I think this could really help you connect with voters.
Fred Smith appears to have a blog, but it's pretty out of date. This is the 2008 election, folks -- blogs ARE being used. I really think they can do more good than harm.

I reckon they should hire some NC bloggers. Hint hint.
Seriously, one of the "red" NC bloggers could easily give up half an hour a day to post something. There are plenty of us.

That's true. I think, however, if the candidate himself were actually blogging, it would have even more credibility...
