NC Judge Rules Peons Acceptable

No, really. The king judge who has decided that the North Carolina Constitution does not apply to him because "it's for the children," has ruled that the peasants have "done what I want done."

Judge Manning, who has declared himself king of education in North Carolina, had said that he would order schools closed if they didn't spend more money. How much more was not dictated, but the judge clearly outlined that HE would determine how much money the schools would spend. He then ruled that if they did not spend "enough" money, that HE, personally, would ORDER the schools to close. Last week he decided he would permit them to open.

I wish he would have "ordered" them closed.

I wonder if the judge has ever actually read the Constitution. I wonder if he knows that spending, according to the Constitution, is to be determined by the legislative branch, and not the judicial. I wonder if he knows that creating and enforcing laws is to be done by the executive branch, not the judicial. I think he does, which is why he didn't order the schools closed -- I don't think they would have listened.
