According to the Democrat-controlled North Carolina Legislature, people need to be protected from freedom. You see, apparently there's too much freedom going on, and the guardians of right and wrong -- Democrats -- are working hard to curtail that freedom. After all, if you're free, you might do something dumb, and the legislature cannot allow that.

This time, once again, it's "unfair mortgages" that are in the sights of North Carolina Democrats. By "unfair," that means anything where you are free to make any agreement you want to borrow money under terms that you, personally, freely agree to. Democrats are smarter than you -- so they claim. So they will personally analyze any agreement you might want to enter in to, and they will personally determine whether it is fair to you -- no matter what you might think.

At issue is foreclosures in North Carolina -- which is what happens when you don't pay your mortgage payment for months and months. That's "unfair" according to Democrats. They're working to make it harder for lenders to collect on money owed them. What is the natural result of that action? Simple -- the lenders will loan less money since the risk increases that they will not get their money back. Thanks, Democrats, for making it harder for people to own their own homes.

Democrats: destroying freedom in North Carolina for decades. Then again, without them, you'd all be idiots drooling in the streets without any direction. Well, that's their view of you.
