NC Wants More For Bribes

Well, that's not the actual headline of this report, but it's certainly more accurate. Since the state suddenly has a surplus, everyone and their brother wants more cash.

Keep in mind a "surplus" to the state means they collected more tax money than they expected. They took money from the citizens of the state and they are now deciding how to spend more of it, rather than giving it back to the citizens who need it a lot more than government does.

This one report focuses on the NC Commerce Department. A more accurate name for this department might be the Department of Bribes and Kickbacks. They're asking the NC General Assembly to take $30 million of those over-payments of taxes and give it to them -- so they can use it to bribe other businesses to locate and hire people in North Carolina.

Yes, this is government interference with the free market -- but the Democrats who control and run both the Department of Bribes and Kickbacks and the General Assembly aren't interested in the free market or freedom -- they're interested in spending money, however they can get it, and control of the subjects of the state.
