NO on Cloture!

I don't think I've ever directly asked my readers to contact their Senators. Well, that was then, this is now. This is really a big, big deal. The Senate and Bush are really, really wrong, and if this immigration bill passes, it will be the end of America as we know it.

No, the country won't disappear, but from what I'm seeing, the bill could add 150 million Mexicans as citizens overnight. Seriously. With only 300 million in the US, what do you think that will do to the country? It will no longer be a representative republic. Socialism will gain a solid foothold and America will continue down the same path socialism has gone every single time it's tried.

Return readers know that I like freedom. This bill absolutely does not. Please, contact your Senators and tell them to vote no on cloture. If you don't want to call, go to Numbers USA and they will send a fax for you. This really is a big deal. Thank you.

1 Corker said he won't be voting for it, Alexander is not exactly enthusiastic about it but hasn't categorically said no to it.

2 My Senators won't give me a straight answer.

3 Lamar Alexander voted Yea, Corker didn't... list is up on my blog, copied from alipac. It passed with a majority, but Reid backtracked a little so there's still some hope but I wouldn't count on it. Most interesting is those who didn't vote and everyone should ask themselves if these are the kind of people we want to run this country when they are too cowardly to make a statement for fear of ruining their political aspirations. Is it revolution time yet?

4 Indeed, those who didn't vote all seeem to be running for President. I got a 1-1 from NC. I strongly suspect Dole only voted "No" because she's up for election next year. Burr isn't, so he voted "Yes." And to answer your last question -- absolutely.
