Stupid Oklahoma Indians Show Their Intelligence

Look, I've got nothing against people who aren't all that smart. I understand that it takes all types and that not everone can be very intelligent. But sometimes when people make lots of noise and make the news, they're really showing how unintelligent they are -- and I feel sorry for them and the spectacle they are making of themselves.

In this case, it's Terry Ragan, a "Native American" who is complaining about an English-Only law that's been proposed in Oklahoma.

First, you might wonder why I put "Native American" in quotes. It's because Terry Ragan is a racist. He's viewing people only by the color of their skin. I'm a native American. I was born here, so that makes me native. That's what I put on all the EEOC forms, too. So Terry, stop trying to represent all Native Americans -- you certainly don't represent me.

Next, Terry is complaining that the Choctaw Indians are losing their language and this bill would continue that. No, Terry, you're completely wrong. If the Choctaw Indians are losing their language, you have NO ONE to blame but the Choctaw Indians. If you Choctaw Indians want to have your own language on your own reservation, you just have your own language - -ON YOUR OWN RESERVATION.

The English-only laws are an attempt to streamline government services. They are an attempt to unify a people together in one nation. If you don't want to be part of that nation, that's fine. You have your own lands, go there and stay there. If you don't want to participate and be part of America, that's okay. I don't mind. But stop trying to force America to be Choctaw Indian.

English-only laws, as Terry may be unaware, will have NO EFFECT on the Choctaw Indian on their reservation. It would require GOVERNMENT agencies to work in the English language. It would require AMERICAN GOVERNMENT forms to be printed in English. It would require absolutely NOTHING of the Choctaw Indian. ZERO.

Oh, but if you Choctaw Indians want to continue getting cash from the US government? Well, in that case you're going to have to learn English. Once again -- if you don't want to associate with America, you are absolutely free to do so. But if you want to deal with the US Government, LEARN ENGLISH. And if you want to "save" the Choctaw Indian language, you just go right ahead -- but don't expect me to do it, or pay for it, for you.

2 I read that headline this morning and thought how ignorant can someone be. Like they are going to force people to only speak English because it's a law that forms will be in English only. You can speak and read any damn language you want, the government isn't forcing you to speak English.

3 Of course, it can be considered a logical extension of the Democrat mindset: it doesn't really matter what the problem is -- government can solve it.

4 And Angel -- no, we don't have any borders. And there are various groups working to destroy our culture. The only thing left uniting us as a people is the language -- and many don't even want that.

5 Hey, I don't speak low German or Middle English or whatever it was that my Irish ancestors spoke 1200 years ago, either. Can I sue, too?

6 The Choctaw Indians of Oklahoma do not live on reservations, they are one of the five civilized tribes.

7 Yet, KT, sue away! And Ron, that's an interesting note. So they do want to force everyone else in the area to be Choctaw. Or speak Choctaw. Or something weird.

11 Often cyclones form there but cannot become very intense before hitting land. However, Sidr developed in the open ocean near the Andaman Islands, and has all the time it needs to reach peak intensity without obstruction. This is a scary, scary hurricane. Let's hope it weakens again, and does not hit a populous area. Bangladesh is the worst nation in the world to be hit by tropical depressions. The nation is essentially a flat, flood plain and most of its land is less than 10 metres about sea level. Bangladesh has lost hundreds of thousands of people in previous cyclones. Let's pray that the storm avoids...
