Tax Collections Up: Raise Taxes!
Yes, the receipts for taxes are up. The people of North Carolina have paid $85 or $90 million MORE than the state anticipated receiving. The state literally has more money than they thought they would have (2 percent more).

So, instead of celebrating, what's the result from the Democrat-controlled North Carolina General Assembly? They plan on raising the state sales tax by a half-cent and raising income taxes next year. How much money does it take to run a state controlled by Democrats? MORE. Always MORE.

I just love the Democrat's position on taxes: when times are good, we can afford to raise taxes. When times are bad, we can't afford NOT to raise taxes.
