our nation was the most prosperous in the world, had absolutely no
national debt, had the largest middle class in the world and Mom stayed
home to raise the kids.

1 Isn't it odd that we have to pay taxes on toll bridges and tunnels, AND pay every time we use them? Our government is friggin' brilliant! They provide a service, and charge us double the going rate for that service. And, we HAVE to pay for that service, even if we don't use it. I'm so proud to be an American!

2 Sadly, I'm pretty sure you are missing some taxes.

3 And even worse -- when a toll is announced, it's to PAY For the bridge. Fine. Have you EVER seen a toll removed? Never. Once the bridge is paid for, it becomes a new revenue stream. Bunch of damn liars is all they are. And Contagion, yes, there are quite a few that are missing, unfortunately. That's why I support the fair tax.
