The Amnesty Zombie

It's baaaaack.

I'm sure by now most of you have heard the news that the amnesty bill is back and better than ever! What makes it better this time? What makes everything better: MORE MONEY! Yes, the primary selling point of this "new" amnesty bill is that it will spend BILLIONS more in taxpayer cash! Hooray, spending!

This bill once again shows how incredibly disconnected the billionaire's club (that's the US Senate) is from actual people of America. VAST majorities of Americans oppose this amnesty bill. McCain LOVES amnesty, especially when you don't call it amnesty. But these billionaires simply think differently from normal people -- they honestly believe that if they throw billions of dollars at something, then people will like it. After all, how can people not like lots of money? The Senators LOVE money -- especially when it's not theirs and they didn't have to work for it.

Is there any person in America not in the US Senate that actually believes these morons? Seriously. This plan promises to issues Z-Visas to criminals who are "in the shadows" faster than they can issue normal passports to American citizens who have been in the system their entire lives. This amnesty plan promises to enforce the border will billions of dollars when these same idiots can't even build a 700-mile long fence.

It really doesn't matter how much "enforcement" they claim to be putting in this bill: they simply will NOT enforce the border. They won't do it now, so I don't know why one single person would believe them when they claim they're going to do it once they grant amnesty to all the current illegals.

But hey, they're the Billionaire Senate, and they're smarter than everyone else on the planet. We should all, apparently, just shut up and let them spend our money because they is smarter than me. Well, I'm tired of them. I want a country that has international borders. I want a country that actually has some pride in itself. I want a country that is ruled by laws, not men. Unfortunately for me, there's no such place on Earth today. Anyone want to start a country with me?

Update: I'm not the only one who is calling this The Amnesty Zombie!

1 You know I prefer commenting on the more lighthearted posts, especially those involving Eric The Fish and Eric The Llama. But this new revived Amnesty Bill is just (expletive ending in "ing" deleted) unbelieveable. I couldn't agree more with what you wrote above than if I plagiarized it and put my name to it. With Trent Lott as disconected to main street as he is, blaming "Talk Radio" - the republicans and Conservative politicians who favor this bill have crossed into Theater of The Absurd, from which they will never return. It "Talk Radio" represents every day, common sense logic - and I believe it does - (just like the United Arab Emirates port deal - which people voiced their outrage via Limbaugh, Hannity, et al) - then there really is no difference with the Amnesty bill. That said, after examing the UAE ports deal, there wasn't much objectionable to it, but Conservative Talk Radio (except Rush - who favored it) did whoop it up into a frenzy that was not accurate. The Amenesty sham is a completely different creature than the UAE ports deal. The cartoon says it all, and I am very disappointed with Bush on his continued support of this, as well as the Billionaire Club Senate. ..... and now, back to our regularly scheduled Eric The Fish, already in progress.

2 Indeed, this issue has really gone way beyond comprehension. The reason it died last time was because the VAST majority of people hated it! Only billionaires actually believe that just throwing more money at the problem makes it better. We need to throw out the entire Senate and start over.
