Three News Stories

One long post this morning -- for you to pause and think about. Don't worry, silliness will return this afternoon, as usual!

Story #1 is the schools banning tag (and other games) at recess.

Story #2 is about a student that was suspended for a prank at a high school football game. He was suspended because he tricked opposing fans to hold up signs that spelled out "we suck."

Story #3 is about a woman who was arrested for letting her 5-year old drive her car because she couldn't.

So, can you, my gentle reader, make any connection between those three stories? How about after a few comments from your host?

Story #1 has been talked to death. It's made the rounds on television shows, radio shows, and various blogs. Many are "outraged." The school systems continue to defend the practice. And the school systems claim it's "For The Children," so they get to do whatever they want. There's a clear reason and purpose these rules are passed. But most won't want to believe them.

With story #2, the student was suspended for 3 days. Well, "in-house" suspension -- you see, the school needs that body in the building because they get cash for every body they keep in the building every day. The student spent many hours working on this prank. He did lots of planning. And not a single person was remotely hurt. Sure, someone was "offended," but there's people who are "offended" when they wake up in the morning. I have reached the point where "offended" has absolutely no meaning to me any more.

And story #3 is interesting. I'm sure the first reaction from people will be "Oh my Gosh, how could this happen?" After all, a 5-year old boy was driving the car. However, now that you've had that reaction, how about looking a little deeper. How well was he driving? I've not known many 5-year olds who could reach the pedals and the steering wheel -- could he? If not, was his mother operating the pedals? Was his mother reaching over and helping with the steering wheel?

Oh, the report says the mother was "impaired." What this particular report leaves out that I've heard reported elsewhere was that she was under the influence of Percoset. So let's see -- the government gave her an impairing drug (via a government-approved doctor). And the government has made it the most serious crime in the world to be caught driving while "under the influence." So government has forced her NOT to drive.

But back to the child driver -- there's not much to report that the driving was bad. One witness claims the car was traveling "like a dart." Has that witness ever seen a dart? No one seems to imply there were ANY safety issues regarding the kid's driving. It is actually possible that with the mother in the car, the 5-year old was actually driving SAFELY? I'm sure your natural reaction to that will be "Ogre, are you serious?" Yes, I'm very serious. Consider for a moment if it's physically possible that a 5-year old drive a car safely.

How much knowledge is really required to drive a car? How safe are cars today? Sure, people get killed "all the time" in cars -- but compared to how many people are IN cars each day, it's such a tiny percentage that it's almost impossible to measure. Are there those of you out there who actually believe it's difficult to drive a car? My point is not to suggest that all 5-year olds should be driving, just for you to consider for a moment that it's possible that one 5-year old might (given physical requirements) might be capable of safely driving a car.

So, do you see any similarity between those three stories now? Do you see the common thread yet? In case you don't get it yet, I'll help: it's about society.

Today's American society, using government force, is designed to punish anyone who dares to step out of line. If you're creative or "different" in any way, you WILL be forced to stop being different. To the US Government, "different" is dangerous. They simply cannot have you being different or thinking things. Instead, by design, the government (via government education) honestly wants you to be dumb: schooled ignorance is more useful than stupidity.

Knowledge is dangerous. If you're capable of independent thought, you're dangerous to the establishment. Sure, go ahead, slap the tin-foil hat on me -- but before you do, try to think about this just a little. Government IS trying to crush independence -- especially independent thought -- because they're scared. Unfortunately, they're wildly successful so far. Government will punish you if you refuse to conform -- whether you're 5 or 50. In most cases, however, the government education system has taught you to conform before you leave that system -- which is why you see so much conflict in the school system: the natural human spirit wants to be free.

Next time you read a news story about conflict in any government education, look and see. Think about it and I'll bet you can see that it's government punishing anyone who dares to be different.

1 The student who perpetrated the signage hoax should be given kudos and a scholarship! The left, and it's willing accomplices in the media and the public education sector, would have all men become girlie-men! Chicification has been a creeping disease in America since the 60's and "women's liberation". [gag] It is the common thread you've illustrated.

2 Most certainly there is a trend towards emasculation -- it's all part of the drone mentality. The goal of the system IS to make everyone the same. The goal is to create drones who will follow instructions. You WILL be punished by this system if you do not conform -- and yes, acting masculine is "nonconformist." And yes, the student should be celebrated. I can imagine a time where the administration would go to the administration of the other school, laughing, and say, "Oh, our guys got yours good, didn't we?" Nowadays if that happened, the administrator would be fired.
