We Starved, He Called It Paradise

North Korea has been in the news quite a bit lately. They may be trying to start WWIII, or they may just be doing as they usually do, rattling sabers, hoping for a little attention from the world, and, of course, some cash or new trading partners. Of course, China and Russia are on their side, not allowing the U.N. to take any actual actions against them, other than calling Il Jong a "meanie."

But have you ever wondered what it was really like there? Do you have a clue what sort of life the average person lives over there in North Korea? Do you want to know the logical conclusion of the state running all production (as the Democrats seem to honestly desire here in the U.S.)?

A person who has escaped the "paradise" of socialist utopia (the same one Democrats envision in America) has written a book about it. Head on over and read a little about how wonderful socialism really is -- and this is the result that socialism has ever single time it's tried.

1 That reminds me of my grandfather who told me something an Eastern European said during the WW II: I had nothing and everything was taken by the Russians.

2 People who have only seen American and (relative) freedom have no idea what goes on in socialist, communist, and military dictatorships.
